Don't pay people who work for you.
From a former Dawgman photographer:
"At the same time that their employers were often giving away their content for free, photographers would constantly remind each other to not diminish the value of one’s own work. When I happened to mention my circumstance at the time— I was shooting for Dawgman for free — that drew their ire toward me ... To this date, I don’t think Dawgman has ever paid a photographer to shoot for them."

Apparently the prestige of working at Dawgman for a CEO like Ken makes up for not getting a paycheck
