What makes a team tackle SO BAD in a game? I get it that UCLA isn't Kent State, but we didn't see this until last night. Swisher Jr. and I called it the "Ridem' Cowboy" tackling style/drag for 10 yards. It looked like they were trying to punch the ball out? I hope we don't see that again. The best tackle was when both our boys tackled each other in the end zone and DTR walked in for the TD. So irritating!
A good question is will Deboer make changes if by the end of the season the defense is still what it is.
His entire staff all seems to be on the same page but it's weird having this co-dc weird shit where one of them appears to be more of a recruiter but the play caller presides over the part of it that is failing the most.
Is the personnel being recruiting and tailored to the base nickel whatever the fuck Petersen ran maybe a problem trying to run this scheme? Does Morrell need to get his guys in there?
Thanks, guysm, for taking my call. I have more of a comment than question, I'll take your reaction off air. I've always felt a brisk walk for perspective whilst the freshly fallen, desiccated leaves crunch under foot reminds me of my own mortality. Go dawgs.
The offence has proven what they can do but is there any reason to believe this staff can figure it out on D based on this season or at past seasons at other programs?
