I was fine purchasing my insurance on the open market until some strange entity(must be those darned capitalist insurance companies) made it completely unaffordable to do so.2001400ex said:

Mine was a "free" as you could get because my employer paid for it. That went out the window
All so we could move a few million off of one government program to another and claim victory
Of course, that has effectively locked me into my employer and ended my labor mobility(which I'm sure the president knew when he ponied up for the insurance, smart guy).
I used to have the whole family covered and paid for by the boss. If I had stayed there we'd probably go 50/50 on the cost for me alone
El oh El at Canadians flooding to hospitals in Seattle. Reminds me of Bob's claim that he sits in the ER for hours with a bunch of illegals.
Perfect example of the government intervention circular logic. -
And now you have an open forum to buy insurance on the internet and be able to shop amongst carriers. If you can't do that to find the right price, I can't help you. In addition, don't act like your insurance wasn't going up regardless of Obamacare.UW_Doog_Bot said:

Go watch the View
Obamacare is a disaster you fucking shill. Go online. Right. Go fuck yourself -
@RaceBannon this is what I love about the Left. They will literally sit there and repeat "but you can keep your doctor" until the end of time regardless of the reality working Americans are facing.2001400ex said:

It's not a problem, we just aren't looking at it the right way. LOL. -
The doublespeak of Open Enrollment is one of my alltim favorites.

@HardlyClothed and @allpurpleallgold won't defend Obamacare. They may have a different issue with it than you and I do but they are honest enough to admit it is a steaming pile of shit
It failed to go single payer and it destroyed what was working for us. Lose / lose -
Hondo is evidence it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Justify single payer and destroy the free market.RaceBannon said:@HardlyClothed and @allpurpleallgold won't defend Obamacare. Obamacare has its issues no doubt. The main thing it did was create an open market to buy insurance. It controlled costs. It added taxes that not one person on this board paid. And it included a mandate that is now gone. And every person on this board got to keep their doctor unless they retired.RaceBannon said:@HardlyClothed and @allpurpleallgold won't defend Obamacare. In addition, overall the cost increases each year slowed. -

Medicare for all won't happen anytime soon. Obamacare happened because Democrats "had to do something" and had the power to do it. And if we went to Medicare for all, it would kill the insurance companies. No politician will let that happen. -
Fuck off
Everything you wrote is a lie. Good job
My body my choice of healthcare -
Sorry if the facts make your Kunt hurt Hondo. In California the ER's primary care facilities for people without insurance. Many of those people are illegal immigrants.
I don't care if you don't believe me Hondo, you're a lying piece of shit who thinks we only allow 60K legal immigrants into the country each year and that Socialism has nothing to do with the current problems in Venezuela. Unless the topic has something to do with dick sucking I fail to see why your opinion on anything is of any importance. -
It did absolutely none of those things. That’s what we were told it would do, but as is the case with the government, good intentions and good results rarely align. I certainly paid the 1% ish tax. One year I paid the 3.8%. So fuck you very much.2001400ex said:

True. I have a Canadian friend that came down and paid cash for an operation he would have had to wait months for. Suffer for months or get 'r done!HHusky said:
At least we agree that there’s no system that can just perpetually say Yes to every treatment.RaceBannon said:I should have the choice to use private insurance and if they say no I should have the choice to pay cash
All of which the storm troopers on the left need to eliminate to take all the money and be worse than insurance
And yes Canadians flood Seattle hospitals due to long waits. And yes government care by definition will have "death panels" just like Insurance does. The difference being there is no other option
I’ve completely missed the “flood of Canadians” to Seattle hospitals. Hyperbole much?
