Some of these "kids" that other schools recruit go on to rape female students, beat on their girlfriends, rob people, assault people, get into fist fights with teammates, screaming matches with coaches, sell drugs, don't work hard, etc. WE DON'T FUCKING WANT THEM! Not everybody that UW passes on is a shit person but the talent pool should absolutely be fucking limited to keep shit human beings out of this fucking program. 1. College football is an extracurricular and is tied to the school for certain funding, benefits, responsibilities, etc. Teams workout before and after school making it a school program
2. Over 60% of the NFL are players from a county where the poverty line is underneath the national average with 68% percent of the league being African American, football scholarships provide an opportunity most who participate would not have.
Point: NCAA D1 football is almost literally running an after school program for at-risk youth
Of course we all want good kids and we don’t want Jalen Hall’s. But you said we want kids from good families and all these coded other stipulations that but let’s look at two parent households. My first debate on HH was with you over taking Stephon Wright over Ika while I wanted both, you freaked out over wanting Stephon Wright who’s dad is not a part of his life and who’s grandmother mostly raised him.

Coming from poverty does not make you an "at-risk" youth you idiot. Bad or non-existent parenting does. I'm talking about fucking teenagers that get kicked out of their school for disciplinary problems, commit crimes, and/or join gangs. The vast majority of black players at any level do not have that kind of troubled background. If you think they do you're the real racist here. Many may come from the hood but do not allow any negativity around them to shape who they are as people. We want OKGs. Doesn't matter where their from or what race they are.
