To recap on how much the goalposts have moved on the extent of Russian interference and collusion:
  • Russia didn't interfere in the election. No collusion!
  • OK, they interfered, but there were no contacts between Russia and the Trump Campaign. No collusion!
  • OK, there were contacts, but Trump didn't have any deals with Russia. No collusion!
  • OK, Trump had deals with Russia, but it's not like there were meetings with Russian intelligence agents. No collusion!
  • OK, There were meetings with Russian intelligence agents, but Trump didn't know about them. No collusion!
  • OK, Trump knew, but nothing came of them, so there was no collusion. No collusion!
  • OK, there was some collusion in the campaign. But Trump specifically didn't collude!
And despite all this, SledogFS and RaceFS somehow still believe the Dems were the ones who colluded with Russia.

    Where did Steele get the information from that he put in his dossier? Who paid Steele to compile the dossier? Don't hurt yourself dodging the question.

    Fusion had been hired to get information on Trump during the primaries by a Republican media firm, Washington Free Beacon. When Trump became the Republican nominee, the Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party began picking up the tab for the Fusion research. Fusion owner Glenn Simpson hired Steele, a Russia expert, to gather information from his sources in Russia.

    They knew it was opposition research paid for by the DNC and the Hillary campaign and the knew that none of it had been verified. They intentionally kept themselves in the dark in order to maintain plausible deniability. That's the game Comey has been playing from the very beginning. And it's the same game Rosenstein and Sally Yates are playing when they signed off on the renewing the FISA warrants.
