Some 15 years ago, when I was poor traveling a lot, those Hampton Inn egg patties were something to look forward to. Would be disappointed on the random mornings they didn't have it.

Related cool story bro tim, Over Christmas father-in-law and I are watching a movie downstairs in the new house while the wife is upstairs taking a bath. A giant bubble begins forming on the ceiling of the living room hallway. I immediately shout at my wife to cut the water while running to the garage to cut off the main and get a bucket. Father-in-law walks over to the bubble, "WTF is that?" and pokes the now exercise ball sized bubble popping it. Water feature in the living room now. The bucket came in time to capture about a quart of the 15 gallons or so of water that has streamed into the living room.
We just bought this house in October and in my mind I'm already having nightmares of black mold(which my wife is DEATHLY allergic to) and structural damage. Did I mention the bath right above a load bearing wall?
The father-in-law is ready to tear the wall out and find the source but if it hasn't already become clear, he's not exactly super handy, love the guy, but I don't feel like spreading mold spores all over my house on Christmas Eve.
I left it sealed up as it appeared to be the overflow drain and not a burst pipe, waited until after Xmas and while the wife & child were out of the house to drill a guide hole and insert a probe camera(insert joke here). No mold, no structural damage, Thank you St. Haden. Looks like the original builders never connected the overflow to the drain pipe. Previous owners look like they made the same mistake once and just never used that tub for a bath again(there are 2 in the house). Going to cut an access panel into the wall in the bathroom above and remedy the drain issue here in the next week or two. -

You aren't really poor until you sleep in your car across the street and then pretend to be staying at the hotel so you can eat the free powdered eggs and shitty toasted english muffin.PurpleBaze said:
