The "crisis" at the border
-The number of illegal border crossings dropped significantly this decade.

-In 2017 where the most recent data is available, more than twice as many illegal immigrants overstayed their visas (700k) than crossed through the southern border (300k).

-It's true that the majority of illegal drugs comes through the southern border but most if it comes through legal ports of entry rather than in the middle of the desert. A wall isn't going to stop it.

The wall should have been built years ago. Can you show me where Trump has claimed that a wall would stop all illegal drugs coming into this county? Using your standard, you just lied.
Also, using the article you posted the other day from the NYTimes they cited the number of illegals apprehended coming into the country each day as 1,700, remember? You and they used that number to call Trump a "liar" because he had said there were "thousands" being arrested every day when the real number was only 1,700 a day.
1,700 x 365 = 620,500. You lied again. -
When did I say Trump claimed that a wall would stop ALL drugs. By your standard, you lied again.

You didn't, the source you cut and pasted did. Are you saying you disagree with the "facts" you and Hondo were blowing each other over?insinceredawg said:When did I say Trump claimed that a wall would stop ALL drugs. By your standard, you lied again.

So to summarize since you didn't get the point..
-Illegal border crossings are down
-Over 50% of illegal immigrants come over legally
-Majority of drugs are smuggled over through legal ports of entry
With that in mind, how effective do you think this wall will actually be? Do you think this wall is a legitimate reason to shut down the government, putting our national security at risk and placing hundreds of thousands of people out of work? Try to respond like a normal human without whining about lying or ass licking for once. -
Yes, yes, I quoted directly from your cut and paste job and asked you two questioned based entirely on what you've posted, but I didn't get to your "point."insinceredawg said:So to summarize since you didn't get the point..

Great illegal border crossing are down. And they'd be down even more if we built a wall. No one is denying that the majority of drugs come through legal points of entry and that most illegals come here legally.
Do you have anymore strawmen you'd like to ass fuck or are you just sticking with Hondo for the rest of the day. -
Great, we agree on the facts. Answer the fucking questions then Kunt.SFGbob said:

Let's do it all
Who's in? -
I heard Democrats already voted for the wall.SFGbob said:

I can't believe this is an issue. Wall estimates cost around 25 billion. If it works or not is clearly debatable. Maybe it helps secure the country and save lives. Maybe it's a total waste.
I'm living in a state that is spending 75-100 billion on a train from SF to LA so it can go from a 5.5 hour drive to a 3 hour ride. Just took a 1 hour flight from Sac to LA for 59 bucks, not sure what they plan to charge. Train won't be operational until 2030 or some shit, who knows what transportation technology we have by then.
The wall is just a wall. It will have maintenance costs. Throw some solar panels on it as that tech becomes more efficient. It's just a wall. Best case scenario it benefits the country significantly. Worst case scenario nothing changes but some jobs were created.
Just put it up so the "trumptards" will get a win. If all these numbers show that it did nothing, then the left can shove it down the rights throat. If you are so confident it's not going to do a damn thing to secure the border then beg for it to be built just so you can be right. -
Let's just throw $25B in taxpayer money at a wall that may or may not work to stop a crisis that may or may not exist. The GOP, the party of fiscal responsibility!Doogles said:I can't believe this is an issue. Wall estimates cost around 25 billion. If it works or not is clearly debatable.
