Jones as a sophomore - 28 catches 469 yards, 6 TD.

Ty Jones was a good recruit, but he wasn’t on Ford or Ngata’s level. His hudl is about 90% go’s with a few outs mixed in. Tons of contested catches when he wasn’t open. Not very much YAC, which is pretty rare for a high profile high school WR. Separation is not his specialty, but my god he is much faster (and better) than Lenius.
I think he’ll be good, but Browning isn’t the type of QB to profile what Jones is best at. Browning doesn’t have the arm to hit 1/2 of Jones’ 20 TD’s catches as a high school senior.
As for the 2019 recruiting class, give me Ford and I’m happy with the WR recruiting. There are rumors he doesn’t want to play with Bru and he didn’t sign early with SC for a reason. The more time away from his SC visit the better I feel. If he wants to be the guy, play for a team that develops talent and wins, play with a 5 star QB... UW is the easy choice. -
Very little to no drop off when Azeem got hurt in 2016. He was better than Bierria and Victor in 2017. He’s not out there because Pete owed him a favor. He’s good and was always good. He didn’t redshirt his freshman year and was never a liability.WeakarmCobra said:

Constantine, Lawyer, and Manu are/were liabilities. BBK was always undersized but good. Try watching the games and not parroting DDY. -

You guys are insane. if we get a 5 star receiver in a 2 receiver class it's a fucking A, at worst. The we had "every advantage" with Ngata is just lazy bullshit as it always was. We had a lot of advantages with him. We didn't have every. He wasn't an in state recruit and he didn't grow up rooting for UW. Those are requirements for "every advantage". His brother only came here because we were his best offer. We weren't Joe's best offer. He went elsewhere. It sucks but it's one data point.Domicillo said:

Either way, Lubick was heralded as some hotshot recruiter and hasn't lived up to his billing.
If we end up with just Taj I'm fine with bashing the class. If we get just Taj and Puka I'm fine with bashing the class (I wouldn't even take Puka just because I don't think we need to spend another scholarship at receiver).
If we get the best wide receiver recruit we've signed since Reggie it's a fucking A receiver class, period.
Recruiting is about who you get, not who you lose. Everyone loses recruits.
