    Pettis put up 30 rec for 414 yards and 1 td as a sophomore.

    The bigger issue is why the younger more talented guys don’t pass up the older jags. My theory is that the younger guys have to show they are SIGNIFICANTLY better for Pete to play them. If a younger guy is slightly better Pete sticks with the older more experienced guy.

    Either that or the offense is too complicated, the younger guys are over rated, or a combination of things.

    Both Cook and Bynum better show something next year.

    Butler was a two star WR out of Texas. Probably fought the ball with his hands coming out of high school. According to last nights broadcast, as early as the first three games of this year he was considered a bit inconsistent in relation to his size/talent.

    Wait until we? have a QB (Eason) that can make a back shoulder throw. Browning doesn’t play to Jones’ strengths for obvious reasons.

    True but That'd be a little easier to swallow if that 2* was a fast strategy black kid with dreads who stands 6’4” or taller with a lot to work with.

    Instead we sign a 2* kid from Corona Del Mar with a Laguna Beach swoop haircut and rich parents.

    This is more true than you guys want to admit. Jones is soft and sucks until he doesn’t. He’s better than Lenius, but to call him good at this point is a stretch. He won’t flame out like Lenius, but he’s far from a surefire stud.

    Lenius as a sophomore - 26 catches, 307 yards, 3 TD.

    Jones as a sophomore - 28 catches 469 yards, 6 TD.
