We actually match up well against them. But god damn if their dismembering of Michigan doesn’t have me terrified.

I don't know what happened in that game but they almost shut down Michigan's run game, which is not bad. Shea Patterson might not be that great but he sure is a hell of a lot better than Browning.GreenRiverGatorz said:We actually match up well against them. Even if Ohio State doesn't shut down our running game you know we're gonna be fucktarded and throw the ball a ton anyway. Browning is gonna fuck us one last time. -
We match up against them decently... namely I think our defense matches up with their offense. They'll score 17 points and we'll lose 17-0 but it could be worse...

Not so fast. The decision between Ohio State and Oklahoma is a toss up. Two 12-1 conference champions. Oklahoma doesn't play playoff caliber defense. For that reason, I would pick OSU over them for the playoffs. Still a chance UW plays Michigan.
-
Michigan vs UW would be the Cal and Utah game all over again. F that.
-
That's exactly what we want. A low scoring game that gives UW a chance to win in the 4th quarter. Michigan is beatable. Their offense is basic just like ours. Ohio State's offense is more explosive with a more mobile and dynamic QB than Michigan. Not only do I think UW would have less of a chance beating OSU compared to Michigan, but also more of a chance of getting blown out and embarrassed.PineapplePirate said:Michigan vs UW would be the Cal and Utah game all over again. Great teams don't get plundered by shit teams.
Oklahoma's probably not a great team. Ohio State is proven to not be a great team.
I spent four years in Oklahoma and hate OU with every fiber of my being. But they're more deserving than tOSU is. -
Fuck that. I would like a month of Buckeye fans wandering over into our little enclave at Hardcore Husky and seeing their childlike wonderStrongArmCobra said:

The only thing embarrassing here is that post. Sure OSU is offensively talented but there D gets gashed by weakass teams like Maryland. They are going to be fucking bummed if they get left out and not be 100% committed to a, “ CONSOLATION ROSE BOWL”. Also Urban is halfway out the door.StrongArmCobra said:

When’s the last time the Dawg’s got blownout? It was during the Sark era.
Jimmy Lake’s D doesn’t get blown out.

I love the Sooners but they didn't hang 60 on the #4 team in AmericaHillsboroDuck said:

I think holding Texas to 27 gets them in though as well as the memory of how tuff they played Georgia last year -
I don't envy the committee this year. That's a tough call.RaceBannon said:

Can’t wait for Penn St fans to laugh at Ohio State fans as they carelessly wander into this endless cesspool abyss and fall for every repetitive filthy trap.
-
tOSU fans, in person, are the worst fan base in the country and it ain't close.
Can you imagine those fucking assholes over here?
I can't fucking wait. -
tOSU deserves a month long 5 reasons thread

I am here, standing by as our first line of defense.

They blew out Michigan when Michigan's defense was ranked #1 in the country. The Purdue game was an anomaly.DawgFader said:

I'm not doubting the defenses ability to compete with anybody but if it's three and out after three and out by Browning and this shit offense, it will be like the Fiesta bowl all over again, possibly without the Myles Gaskin heroics to make it respectable. Their QB is a million times better than ours. UW has a very slim chance of winning this game. Michigan would have been better. -
Michigan's defense is very good no doubt and possibly better than UWs but IMO their D is built for plodding Big Ten teams while UW is better suited to play at tempo and vs spread concepts.StrongArmCobra said:

OSU made Michigan look slow and out of shape. They picked on one corner in particular who Michigan couldn't hide whereas even without Joyner UW is 7 deep at DB. -
The only thing giving me hope. This is not power buckeyes. Haven’t watched them too much but it’s weird seeing them throw so much.FremontTroll said:

Yeah I mean they haven't been a power run team since Meyer got there obviously but they've gone more to the passing spread under Day than the running spread that we associate with Meyer (Tebow, Cardale Jones, Barrett, Miller )GrundleStiltzkin said:

Lots of mesh concepts built on getting the ball to speedy WRs and RBs on shallow crosses and wheel routes. Michigan's LBs and DBs looked lost but I think this plays to UW's strengths. I would be much more afraid of getting dominated on the lines and having the ball run down our throats again a la Penn State and Saquon. -

As a Dawgfan would have loved to get Michigan. It really makes no difference, it’s gonna be a grinder game.
OSU gonna sceme to stop the run and I wouldn’t put it past Browning to shit himself a little.
All that said, OSU just gave up chunk plays to NWestern and really didn’t stop anyone. We gonna score points. -
so explain Maryland.

There's no need to explain it. Their defense had two bad games this season. If you're hoping they're going to show up to the Rose Bowl playing that kind of defense you're going to be shit out of luck. UW will get the best they have to offer. Teams change on a week to week basis. Their defense has gotten better and our offense has regressed.LawDawg1 said:so explain Maryland.
