He's not spending extra time playing school

Not after everything he’s gone through with that injury

This again? So fucking stupid. He is 100% gone to the NFL after next season! Get that through your fucking head! The coaches know this and do not give a fuck about red shirting him at all. We need him to win the next two games. Need to get the most out of him while we got him. He's fucking playing in both games.

Unless he gets injured again... But that probably won't happen, so why prepare for it? Couldn't have beaten the beavs without him!
There is this thing called medical redshirts for players who get injured. Also he would still have a season of eligibility as a true Senior if needed due to injury. And no, nobody plans for injuries. Nobody plays players based on the possibility of future injuries. You play him and win now and expect him to be healthy next season and go to the NFL. That's what smart people do.

Hunter Bryant will not be here his entire eligibility....regardless if it's 4 or 5 years

You sit him against Oregon State not in important games. I wish they had but that ship sailed.

You get the rust off against oregon state so you win down the stretch. As has been said numerous times, he won't be exhausting his eligibility.

That's fine but then they shouldn't have played him for those few snaps against Stanford.

That's fair criticism if there is a world where he stays to full tenure

Fucking this. If he’s healthy and has a great year next year, he’s probably gone anyway. Plus, there’s no fucking way he’s staying 3 more years. Even if he did redshirt and stayed that long, it would be because he kept getting hurt, and WWWHA.

Assuming players are going pro early is reckless and playing him against both Stanford and Oregon State was dumb.

You would think given Pete's reputation of being insanely detail oriented would lead to better roster management, but it hasn't. You would also think a well coached team would have solid at worst special teams; we don't. It's hard.

Do you prefer him leaving as a true Junior or redshirt sophomore?

This is a no brainer. The goal is to win titles. The coaches are here to win games, titles, otherwise they get fired.
Your best receiver is back, healthy, and you are about to play for the conference trophy and maybe a Rose bowl. Of course you play him. Regardless of if he declares for the NFL early, what if he breaks his leg against Portland State in September next year? What did you accomplish by not playing him? What if he stays healthy but the team goes 6-6 because something else happens. When you can win today you dont postpone to tomorow.
