He still hasn't played a down. Very nice prospect, smallish and played at a powerhouse. My point is that Jonathon Stewart was praised as the best thing to ever come out of this state (before Locker) because of his track accomplishments alluding to his athleticism in addition to his play on the field. He ended up being a nice prospect too, that never won Oregon a nc.dnc said:

Getting BB gives me a bit of hope that Slingblade can figure things out. He's been putting together a great recruiting class... highest star rating I can remember to the extent that star ratings matter. More importantly, the class seems to be hitting areas of need.
The only reason I would be pissed about Baker if I were a UW fan would be that he's the top recruit in-state headed for a rival. That shit has to stop - but it wasn't going to happen in a year with a coaching change and Oregon was probably going to get him if Sark had stayed. I don't give a fuck what Ektard's Christmas surprise says. -

Stewart was a first round pick and had a great junior year. Before that, he had to split carries with another back who put up very good numbers. He was really fucking good. Nope, I don't care about 1960. And yeah, a shit ton of great players have come through and have been good but not won anything which doesn't mean you shouldn't recruit them. But getting the best player out of washington oregon or idaho doesn't mean much to me other than you got a very good prospect, because we're not even close to other states talent-wise (that both UW and UO recruit in). Yeah, if you're UW you need a solid pipeline to Bellevue and you want kids in the state to want to be at UW *for the most part* but as other people have stated, this is a transition year and we'd rather have the new coach than the class. And the 0regon reference is because of the fucktarded washingten reference I see everywhere - WOW you guys beat us when we went through two terrible coaches who served for 4 and 5 years respectively? I know you guys have no engineering department down there but that's 9 years alone. Personally I could care less that WA has 1* and OR has 0. But quooks do.

When UW gets "back," and I think Pete is very likely to get them there, part of that process will be getting most, if not all, of the "can't miss" prospects from WA state. Believe me, if Oregon had whiffed on Tyner I would be spitting fire. -

Stewart scored 9 touchdowns as a frosh and 11 as a sophomore when he averaged 5.4 ypc. As a junior, he was first team all conference, averaged 6.2 ypc, added another 13 tds, and ran for over 1700 yards. He then entered the draft early and was the 13th overall pick.
Saying Stewart was not that fucking good is as doogtarded as coogfan saying "Chill, he's no Jonathan Stewart" when Sankey flipped.
