And that hardball tactic itself is in response to McConnell not voting on Obama's nominee.

This is so going to backfire against the democrats. It will once again activate the portion of the base that was activated in 11/16. This will not be seen as tit for tat for McConnell's shenanigans. It will be sold and seen as deep state override of the people's will. Just this morning the memes were flying: "We the People Demand Justice Kavanaugh's appointment be Confirmed!"RaceBannon said:I scoured Fox news and saw nothing about this but hondo will call it a talking point. But anyway if the dems call for a vote it would seem to be a slam dunk to vote him gone and be done with him. I am sure they could get two rinos to go along. So why keep delaying?
The red state Senators up for re election are hearing about it and it isn't good news. They need to sit there and hope the smear makes the Administration cave without a vote
I've been right and I reckon I am right again
I can't imagine being red in a red state and being pissed off at my senator for bungling this unless he were part of what is being called a lynching.
We shall see.
Do you really think if they had a vote today he'd get bumped? Who would the rinos be? I have no idea who's on the fence. -
Another point I've made. And that decision worked out very well for Republicans. That was one reason we have Trump and a republican Congress.GrundleStiltzkin said:And that hardball tactic itself is in response to McConnell not voting on Obama's nominee.

There is a difference between mid term and presidential elections. Kagan was appointed 2 wks prior to a midterm under Obingo but that's Otay Spankey!GrundleStiltzkin said:And that hardball tactic itself is in response to McConnell not voting on Obama's nominee.

Really? You don't say?Sledog said:All this 35 year old BS is to stop Trump. If they could prevent this appointment and win a seat or two we'll have no supreme court nominee during Trumps term. It's the resistance run by Soris, Obingo and company.

No they would have made shit up and smeared GarlandGrundleStiltzkin said:And that hardball tactic itself is in response to McConnell not voting on Obama's nominee.
They didn't have to because they control the Senate. These are not the same thing at all
@Swaye is right except they need to nominate a Black woman. Leftist racism is always entertaining -
Susan Collins and Murkyowski are usually mentioned. And Flake hates Trump's gutscreepycoug said:

Don't act like Democrats have a monopoly on smear campaigns.Swaye said:I do not care if Kavanaw gets the nod or not. But, this made up bullshit story by Dems rubs me the wrong way. Trashing a guy and tarnishing him for life for nothing because you don't like his politics is over the line. The Dems who cooked this up have zero decency or humanity and should basically be drug behind a mule for a few miles.
If I was Trump I'd withdraw this nomination and put forward that much more conservative woman and let them try and tar and feather her. I think she might even be to the right of Scalia. It would be the perfect just desserts for these morons going along with the Feinstein frame an innocent man plan. Problem is, Murkowski and Collins the RINO cunts that they are would fuck all of that up. -
