Haener Interview- Seattle Times

Anyone know what the story is with him being made available all of a sudden? I though team policy was for freshman not to speak with the media.

He is not a true freshman, rs freshman

Thanks for the link.
I particularly like what he said in the last article:
“I love competition,” Haener said. “I’m not trying to shy away from anything. People over-complicate things and blow things out of proportion. I’m not trying to run away from anything and I don’t try to think about this guy or that guy; I just try to control what I can control. If I do what I do, I’m confident in that.” -
He and Browning are not close.PurpleBaze said:Thanks for the link.

And when I read this:
“I don’t think anything’s changed. I keep trying to do what I can for him and he helps me when I ask for something.”
I thought of "nothing changed with me", thanks to you degenerates. -

Kid sounds like a real leader. It’s a shame he might rot away on the bench all season as we continue to witness Brownsocks’ greatest hits.

Browning took a long time to congratulate Haener after his first drive. I took note of it.GrundleStiltzkin said:

Could the next 4/5 years look like:
Browning get drafted as senior (hahahaha)
Haener win the job then get drafted
Skinny win the job as senior then get drafted
Yankoff win the job then get drafted
Sirmon play as fifth year senior then get drafted
Probably not but consider the source. -

Jake Haener (13) appears to have won the backup quarterback job. (Dean Rutz / The Seattle Times)
I know he looks young, but that's a low blow from the Times. -
This Haener episode reminds me of fans calling for Casey Paus to replace Cody Pickett. I'm not saying it's exactly the same, only that it reminds me of it so don't be a twister. I suppose it would be wise to see a bit more of Haener first. Maybe Peete will stick him in for a series with the game still in doubt. Then you assholes can go apeshit calling for the replacement if he comes through! Wait until then though...

Haener starts next year.

Your posts usually suck but this one sucks even more
When Pickett got dinged against Oregon and Gilby was forced to run the ball down their throats it became the last win before the Duckade
Maybe you're confused by that. Or just confused -
I said it just reminded me of it -- for exactly the type of reason you give. Playing mop up duty against and FCS team is not like playing Auburn in the 4th quarter with the game on the line. Handing the ball off against the the Dukks is not like playing Miami. Don't be a twister. Probably Haener will get some quality time pretty soon and we can see. Until then wait.RaceBannon said:
