Any single one of them after Browning could be the next best QB in college football. Abundance of talent increases your chances of long term, sustained success you idiot! As you can see with fucking Oregon after they lost Mariota. We're fucking stacked at QB during the time any 2019 WR recruit would be at UW. You can't name a better QB depth chart in the country so fuck you.
Off the top of my head give me Georgia and Clemson’s qbs though if we are taking dibs. Thanks in advance. -
Just for the record, StrongBad started talking Oregon QBs in this thred, unprompted. So, like saying "AZDuck AZDuck AZDuck," I feel summoned.
We? actually had some decent backups to Mariota. They transferred.
For example, Bryan Bennett was actually kinda good. He went down a level to get PT and went to the combines. Got a cup of coffee in the NFL and now he's playing QB in the CFL along with a bunch of other ex-Oregon QBs.

Dakota Prukop is a 4th stringer in the CFL. Seems about right to mednc said:

Good call. Alabama is another. Oklahoma probably has some very good QB's after Kyler Murray. Ohio State with Haskins and Martell.AtomicDawg said:

It has nothing to do with this but Baker Mayfield, Davis Webb, and Patrick Mahomes at Texas Tech was probably the greatest QB depth chart in a long time.
You want to sign a lot of good QB's to find one great one. UW will never have Alabama or Ohio State talent.
I'm not writing off Sirmon or Yankoff at all, but Tua T at Alabama, Lawrence at Clemson, or Fields at Georgia would not be behind Haener.
I have no proof, but the nature of the QB position is most guys turn out to be busts. Miles, Lindquist, and Troy Williams were all top 10-15, 4 star QB's. -
We? have a depth chart of unproven 4-stars. I have as big of a sweat pants boner for Eason's potential as anybody but I have to point out he hasn't done jack shit at the ncaa level yet.
As a frosh he completed 55% of his passes for 6.5 ypa and led Georgia to an 8-5 (4-4) record in a shitty SEC East (and they missed Bama and LSU.) That was with Chubb and Michel at RB, and future NFL draft picks at LT, TE, WR1, WR2, and WR3.
Then he got Wally Pipped as a soph and the same team goes to the championship game. -

Yes they fucking would you idiot! Outside of Lawrence, Haener can throw the ball as well as any of those fuckers and he would still be way ahead of them in terms of knowledge of the system. UW is not going to dumb down the offense so true Freshman QB's have a chance to play like Alabama or Georgia. Tua has played half a fucking game in college football. Let's see how he handles an entire season. Lawrence is struggling to beat out 3* recruit Kelly Bryant by the way. Clemson doesn't have any other QB's on their roster after Bryant and Lawrence who are even in the competition for the starting job. Fields is the same as Sirmon and Yankoff. NFL physical talent but hasn't done shit yet. I can do this all fucking day. Give me Eason, Haener, Sirmon, Yankoff, and Morris over Bryant, Lawrence, and a bunch of nobodies. Give me those guys over Tua, Hurts, and again a bunch of nobodies. You seem to be forgetting that Jacob Eason still has the best arm talent in the nation. As long as he can get the mental side of the game down and our receivers take the next step he's going to be a Heisman contender. There's absolutely zero no reason to think Lawrence or Tua or Fields will be better than him.RoadDawg55 said:

Which has always been my argument. If you're the guy and you get injured you don't lose your job to a 5'9" true freshman. Fromm is 6'2" and, despite being a true frosh, was a stud. He threw for 9.0 ypa and led his team to the championship game.
Yeah, Eason wasn't their guy and wasn't ever getting that job back. No, he didn't lose his job to a 5'9" chump. -
Why does a future USC commit have a thread?

Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, Baker Mayfield, and Trace McSorley. If you can throw the fucking ball and play with good pocket awareness and good vision you can be the best QB or one of the best QB's in the country despite not being tall. Haven't seen Haener in a live situation yet so don't know about his pocket presence but he's got a great arm, has dropped dimes against our secondary as a RS Freshman, and has two more years of development to go before he has a real chance to be the starter. Yeah, he can become one of the top QB's in college football if he maintains his upward trajectory.dnc said:

I'm curious where your certainty that Haener has this great arm comes from. Have you been going to practices? Honestly I'd give a little more creedence to what you're arguing if you have witnessed him making big time throws. Short snippets of them doing throwing drills in shells count for shit. All I've seen of him in any kind of live action was a video of some really piss poor form: a way too low and shirt (shot put)arm motion, bad posture, and a floating, wobbly ball. That's from a video someone posted here.StrongArmCobra said:

Haener red zone dime to Ty Jones:
Haener throw for big gain to Aaron Fuller against Elijah Molden:
Haener throw for big gain to Terrell Bynum through a tight window splitting double coverage:
His high school film shows arm talent as well. Petersen has complimented his ability to throw the ball since he showed up as a true Freshman. The coaches thoughts of him and a few examples of the flashes they're seeing from him at practice are all I need to say he has the potential to be a great college quarter back. Some think he's outperformed Browning this past Spring and now Fall camp as a RS Freshman. Like I said, two more years of development to go before he has a real opportunity to be the starter. If he continues on his current trajectory he could be a straight baller by 2020.

Abundance of talent increases your chances of long term, sustained success you idiot! As you can see with fucking Oregon after they lost Mariota. We're fucking stacked at QB during the time any 2019 WR recruit would be at UW. You can't name a better QB depth chart in the country so fuck you.
Every fucking school in the country can make this argument for every QB on their roster then.
Realistically, Jake Haener is never going to be the QB in the country or anywhere close. If Haener wins the job next year that either means UW doesn't have an elite QB on the roster, or that Pete/Bush are morons.
I didn't say Haener is going to win the job next year. I said in 2020 after Eason goes one and done. I don't understand your hatred towards Haener. I don't give a fuck how tall he is he can throw the fucking ball. If he turns out to be a baller and earns the starting job at some point I'd be happy because that means he would have to be really fucking good.
That's all it is though, potential. Highly rated QB's suck all the time.
And Haener throws like a girl.
He will transfer by 2020, Eason will still be the QBStrongArmCobra said:

I like our QB depth a lot. There's a lot of potential there.StrongArmCobra said:
But not every team in the fucking nation can say they have the amount of NFL talent at QB as UW. You're arguing a losing argument. UW is killing it in QB recruiting. Nobody else stacks up right now.dnc said:
So you're telling me there's a chance????StrongArmCobra said:
Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, Baker Mayfield, and Trace McSorley. If you can throw the fucking ball and play with good pocket awareness and good vision you can be the best QB or one of the best QB's in the country despite not being tall. Haven't seen Haener in a live situation yet so don't know about his pocket presence but he's got a great arm, has dropped dimes against our secondary as a RS Freshman, and has two more years of development to go before he has a real chance to be the starter. Yeah, he can become one of the top QB's in college football if he maintains his upward trajectory.dnc said:
