Tracy’s new catchphrase

Wonder what he thinks about schools that let them leave without an offer...

Yep. Only hope is these kids realize they are good enough to compete with and against these bama kids and want to stay home to beat them in the playoffs...

Yep. He retweeted you and replied to you in not so vague language.Dennis_DeYoung said:#WeFucked
Fucking hell. -
Not offering them after Rising Stars seems like it was a breaking point for Tracy, I'd be fucking annoyed too. Can we not fuck up the most important non player relationship we have?

Lol, FSP and Heir guys united against UW

I don’t think we will ever get a Garfield guy with Joey there. He really fucking hates UW. I realize he got fucked over like 15 years ago but Jesus. Maybe Jimmy should hop off his boat for a bit and go have a sit down dinner with Joey and figure this shit out.Domicillo said: -
Maybe he's had an axe to grind the whole tim, but it's not like we're helping ourself here... The fact that we can't give offers even to the fucking ELITE in-state guys makes no sense.Edwin_Bambino said:

Alabama does give out a fair amount of non-commitable offers, but they don't generally offer scrubs. When they come all the way up to WA that means a lot more than UW's selective offer bullshit. -
we offered JT last year...his first offer..

It’s getting to the point where I’m taking years off my life worrying about why all local freshman and sophomores hate Washington.

We know, but he is making it a point to show that schools are offering after camps and what not. It’s a clear shot at UW.pat_hm said:we offered JT last year...his first offer..

I know that. He wants everyone of his kids offered because it’s good for business. I’m not justifying UW’s “strategy.” I have no idea why DJ Rodgers doesn’t have a commitable offer. I think Gee Scott is tricky for obvious reasons. We’ll see about Hector & Adams. Who else is UW supposedly neglecting?CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:

Petersen was the FIRST to offer Smalls and JT. Those are two that matter most. People forget that.

Hopefully this will prevent a sucide or two tonight. Breathe fellas. LIPO.

Relax.
In most sales situations, it’s in your best interest to maintain exclusivity: creating a unique offer and quality that others can’t match. In conjunction with a strong product, you’re in a very strong position to negotiate on favorable terms. Exclusivity makes it much easier to maintain high perceived value. Most of you forget recruiting has been trending up. -
Setting the realpolitik of this business for the moment...
This shit fucking disgusts me. These guys are like the dude who shot Cecil the Lion, looking for another trophy to mount with exquisite hips. The kids in their "stable" with big time offers have those offers for reasons almost entirely separate from whatever battle-ropes dojo they go to. The offers are 70% God given talent, and most the remainder of what they're getting from their parents and coaches. The business proposition is that for every D1-offered ringer they can put in their twitter display case, 100 more no-chancers are fogging up the class believing that #TeamFucknuts is what will get them My-First-D1-Offer. Many of this hopeless cohort are the monied Eastside dipshits. Whatever, better to spend the cash on an exclusive logo-ed tanktop and some flashy cardio than more healing crystals. But, there is a portion where the money spent hurts. I know some of them. As as well-known faggot hollow man, they haven't listened to me.
These guys, Jake Heaps and his ilk, are the Peddlers of Broken Dreams. -
Smalls and JT Tui are the only two deserving of an offer at this time and UW was the first to offer both of them. What the fuck is so hard to understand about that? You don't think there are 2020 and 2021 4-star kids in California that USC hasn't offered yet? Tracy needs to calm his ass down. Not every single one of his kids is UW caliber as a fucking Sophomore! At least wait until the Spring evaluation period after their Junior season to bitch. Outside of Smalls and JT Tui none of the other 2020 and 2021 in-state kids have COMMITTABLE offers from the USC's and Alabama's of the world. Sure they can probably commit to Oregon because Oregon fucking sucks. When the in-state kids get their UW offer it will be a REAL offer that they can commit to at any time.
-
What are you not understanding? These kids don't even have enough interest to come to our camp. Whether or not you agree with petes strategy that in itself alone is a huge fucking problem. It needs to be solved. You can't alienate local talent like that. The shitty part of being a college coach is ass kissing and political shit you have to deal with with these 7 on 7 guys and the prep athletes themselves. It's a problem and it needs to be solved. I think it will be. But letting it linger is frustrating to put it lightly.StrongArmCobra said:Smalls and JT Tui are the only two deserving of an offer at this time and UW was the first to offer both of them. What are you talking about? All the Eastside Catholic kids have been up to UW to watch Spring practices and for camp. Smalls has been on campus a bunch of times. Sure JT Tui and Smalls didn't go to the Dirt Dawg camp. Big fucking deal. They already have offers and it's nothing new to them. Those guys have a LONG ways to go in their recruitment. You don't want them on campus a million times because then UW becomes stale and out-of-state schools become new, fresh, and exciting.AtomicDawg said:

Yeah. Uw coaches are purposefully limiting the amount of times they come around campus. We are all dumber now for having digested that thought.StrongArmCobra said:

The problem with this is that every other good recruiting team in the country doesn't believe this is actually the better option. There are a bunch of teams that have similar or better 'products' than us that could also make their offers super exclusive. ALL of them have decided that the potential value gained from exclusivity isn't more than the net value of just offering everyone. Alabama is still able to keep the perception that a Bama offer 'means something', while offering everyone in the country. It's a complicated equation, but the fact that all the elite recruiters don't give a fuck about exclusivity is interesting.HorrifyinglyAlluring said:Relax.

I guess you could argue that our 'OKG' brand specifically lends itself to exclusivity more than other schools, but there are other schools with similar brands that offer everyone. -
Petersen is the mastermind and more detail oriented than any coach in the nation and got a degree in psychology. Everything he does is part of a strategy. Like I said before none of this shit matters. Winning solves everything and once the in-state kids do get their offers and get the red-carpet treatment from UW there will be zero salty feelings about having to wait longer for the offer. There will also be some in-state 4-star kids who never get a UW offer because the coaches will get somebody better at their position from out-of-state. People need to realize that and adjust with the times. This is a part of big boy recruiting.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:

Didn't know you could get any dumber than you already were. Yes, UW doesn't want 5-star in-state players constantly at UW when they are 15 and 16 years old. That would be stupid. It's simple psychology that UW would become too familiar to them and therefore less exciting than out-of-state schools that they rarely visit.AtomicDawg said:
