I wasn’t old enough to really watch Hoffman, but considering he didn’t make the NFL, he’s a doog legend in my book who benefitted from playing behind a great DL.RaceBannon said:Hoffman and Clifford were white LBs who came in together leading up to the national title. But Chico Fraley put Clifford on the bench. Hoffman was big and mean and could play regardless of his color

Not trolling. I just think if he was really that good he would have played in the NFL.GrundleStiltzkin said:

There are tons of good college linebackers that aren't going to play in the NFL or are going to be really limited in the NFL. A big part of that can be scheme. The 245-lb. thumper with limited athleticism used to be the norm, but there isn't really a lot of spots for those guys in the NFL these days b/c they can't cover. Hoffman was outstanding, just not a great NFL fit.

College players win college games, and championships. Hoffman was a tremendous college linebacker.RoadDawg55 said:

Can you fucking autists chill with the race comments about recruits and players?
The best players get to play regardless if they are white, black, red, brown, yellow, or purple.
The staff offers the best kids regardless of race.
Hope this fucking helps -
I like my linebackers white, shitty, and extra tryhardy. Makes Odin happier that way.

I believe the goal of playing college football, and rooting for a certain team is that WE? WIN with talent at the college level. Don't care about the NFL when considering their college career. Good or not in college should be the bar.RoadDawg55 said:
