Report: Tennessee Football Gives Up Completely, Hauls Greg Schiano Out Of The Dumpster
The Tennessee Volunteers just finished their worst season—at least by total wins—since 1977, going 4-8 with zero victories in SEC play. Naturally, this meant that head coach Butch Jones was out on his ass before the season even ended, replaced by interim coach and Michigan failure Brady Hoke. But with high hopes for a turnaround, Tennessee fans allowed themselves to imagine a team led by Dan Mullen, Mike Leach, Chris Petersen, or even Jon Gruden.
Volunteer faithful, I hope you enjoy a guy who went 68-67 at Rutgers!
Yes, apparently Greg Schiano is still, somehow, a respected and known name in college football, despite obtaining mediocrity with Rutgers and using that “success” to go crash and burn with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers way back in 2013. After falling out the NFL trap door, Schiano then served time as a high school coach until getting a job under Urban Meyer. His Ohio State defense has since piqued the interest of Tennessee, which has a history of making such brilliant coaching hires as Lane Kiffin and Derek Dooley.

Schiano will set up recruiting pipelines to Florida, NY/NJ, and Ohio leaving UT's roster loaded for Tee Martin when he takes over in 2022.

I'm going to first go out on a limb and say you're either in your early 20s or just poorly educated based off your choice of grammar and your lack of knowledge in general.
Tennessee went 13-0 and beat FSU for the first BCS title in 98, the year after Manning with a QB named Tee Martin. Tennessee is also the 2nd most profitable program in the country only behind Texas due in large part to it being a national brand unlike Washington in which is a regional brand. Tennessee, Knoxville in general is one of the fastest growing regions in the country. Tennessee is a wonderful place to live and I hate to tell you but Chris Petersen does have ties here.
Like it our not, Currie was in Seattle last Tuesday and he was not at UTs game vs Vandy last night. Currie was in Seattle again yesterday and is set to return sometime this morning. Chris Petersen will be announced as the new coach at UT this afternoon.
But I wish you all the best, do yourself a favor and work on cleaning up your language and personal attacks it makes you look so small. -

It’s not a home run hire, but it’s not as awful as some are making it out to be, unless you were one of the idiot Vol fans who thought they had a shot at Gruden, in which case this is a splat. But Schiano was actually decent at a shitstain school like Rutgers, and has been a solid DC at OSU since returning to CFB. They could do a lot worse. They could hire Black Sark.
