The Federal Government gained more power as a result of the Civil War. It gained the power to boss around the states. The only good that ever did was when it was used to make states abolish slavery. But hell, slavery was already on the way out. I'd say another 40-60 years and the states would have abolished slavery on their own, as was the trend at the time.

But now we have a Federal Government that forces extra tax money out of people in every state, and then sends it back to the states with strings attached..."Hey Montana, want some tax revenue for your roads? No problem...but FIRST, we need you to lower your speed limit to 65." If the South would have won, we wouldn't have this fucking problem. But all you faggots can think about is "oh the poor slaves".

The Power that it (the Federal Government) gained paled to what it gained in 1913 and 1933- 45.

Where do you go in Salem to get your Aids medication?
    The methadone clinic, of course.

My guess would have been from sharing a needle with the river park bums.

Did you know that there were 700,000 Fighting Swayes in Florida in 1520? In 1700 that number was reduced to 2000, and vast majority of that was due to disease and epidemics. In 1520, before Cortez landed, there were 25 million fighting Swayes in Mexico. Just 50 years later there were 3 million - 99 percent of which were killed by disease and starvation associated with the disease death rate, not warfare.

Yeah, the Spaniards and Whitey effectively won the war without firing a shot. All the Indian Wars of the 1700-1800's were just mop up duty for the very few pissed off Injuns who had survived all the plagues. 12-15 million Fighting Swayes in North America when Columbus landed. Less than a million left by the time they were herded to reservations, and the white man had killed less than 50,000 thousand of them in warfare. Twelve million or so killed by disease.

Thanks for the blankets. Assholes. Fuck whitey.

The Mohicans were so decimated that they had to have a white guy be their last brave.

Fortunately the survivors and their successors are particularly resistant to certain diseases.

Swaye if it's any consolation the Indians have killed vast numbers of their infectors with their gift. Tobbaco. Still killing like crazy!
