With 6 games I think we can start judging this defense. Is 2017 Defense better than 2016 Defense (With Joe Mathis and without Joe Mathis)?

Without a Stanford & Oregon ass whipping at this point, LIPO.
I think the front 7 is at least as good. D-line is better. The most glaring defensive difference I've noticed in DB play in the flats and screens. SMFJ, LAN and Butta were so damned fast coming up in support. -
