I think Togiai is leaning more towards Ohio State than USC. He's there on an unofficial right now and when you look at his twitter he's obsessed with Urban and all things Ohio State. Either way, he ain't coming to Washington.
    That's awful news if true.

Either way, if he stalls his decision, OSU and SC might wait on him and not offer Tremblay yet

    Huh? Levi isn't a NT he's a 3-tech.
You clearly haven't caught onto the fact that we play a 2-2-2-5 defense

I would categorize Sam and Buck as OLB rather than DL.

Huh? More like a 4-2-5 numb nuts. NT's are 0-1 techs. Levi is a 3-tech DT not a NT. I was only talking about NT's.
A 4-2-5 implies we play DEs, which we don't, but your poont about NT and 3tech stands.

We are pretty flexible in the front six.
Definitely played 5 DB's though all
    last season.

The problem is a lot of fucking idiots out there think we play DEs, so I'm going to keep pushing that until those people are wiped off the face of the earth.
    Rule 1. Mods?

I guess you're too young to remember Feeny and Littleton playing Buck and Sam.
    They were definitely not DE's
    How will we replace them?

If anything besides a 2-2-2-5 it's a 3-3-5. Sam is not a DE by any stretch. Buck is a hybrid.

A true OLB plays 5-yards off the line off scrimmage, plays in coverage against the pass, and only rushes the QB when a blitz calls for it. A player that plays on the line of scrimmage, defends the run as a DE, rushes the QB as a DE, but a couple of times a game drops into zone-flat coverage is a DE. Doesn't matter if he plays out of a two-point stance or a three-point stance, he's a motherfucking DE.

Last season our defense played nickel 70% of snaps. The Buck position doesn't change between base and nickel. That motherfucker is playing DE 95-100% of snaps and it varies a bit depending on how fast/athletic the player is in coverage. In nickel the SAM is the same as Buck, a DE that occasionally drops into coverage. In base, the SAM is a true OLB like I previously mentioned. Overall the Buck is 95% DE 5% OLB and the SAM is 70% DE and 30% OLB. This is why the players at Buck tend to be bigger than players at SAM. The SAM has to a bit lighter and faster because he plays a bit more in coverage. Regardless, both motherfuckers are playing mostly DE unless the defense switches back to being predominantly their base package like it was in 2014. End of argument. Fuck me, Fuck you, and Fuck everybody.

So would you classify Von Miller as a DE?

Absolutely. He basically plays the Broncos version of Buck. He's a stand-up DE that has the speed to drop into the flat and cover RB's coming out of the backfield. Most of the time he's just playing DE and I've never seen him play true OLB 5-yards off of the line of scrimmage like KJ Wright.
So you're basically disagreeing with how almost all 3-4 teams are classified?

Disagree. This is some Hugh Millen shit. A pass rusher is a pass rusher.
You want to say it's semantics I'm fine with that. I disagree but whatever. But he's not claiming semantics. He's saying nobody runs a 3-4 and that Von Miller's a defensive end. Which is ridiculous.

Everybody has a base 4 man rush. Some do it with all four guys with at least one hand down, some do it with three guys with a hand down and one of them standing up. UW does it with two with a hand down and two standing up. If you don't care how they're classified that's fine. Claiming that Von Miller is a defensive lineman is not.
