So you drive that Tesla to save the planet huh

Such a simple mind.

Unless you're driving by wagon train, growing your own food, making your own clothes and household items, not using electricity or not burning woodchips for heat, you are as implicit as any denier ever could be in what you think is destroying the planet.

The 8 year carbon debt is a black eye. The key assumption is that the factories producing the batteries get about half their electricity from fossil fuel. Still has the potential to be greener than than standard ICE if production process gets more efficient or generation fuel mix changes. Solar panels had a 20 year carbon debt when they first came out but now it is closer to 2 years because the process and panels themselves have gotten more efficient. But yeah fuck technological advancement.

I'll let you know when I see one.RaceBannon said:

We NEED to do SOMETHING!!!

Tesla = coal-fired car

People don't understand the scale of things. This is why this shit is niche shit designed to make assholes feel good about themselves.
Landfill the dead batteries. Helps the environment -
Organic farming is one of my favorite ironies of the snowflakes in Seattle. Any idea how much more land would have to go under the till throughout the world if we all got to eat organically?salemcoog said:Unless you're driving by wagon train, growing your own food, making your own clothes and household items, not using electricity or not burning woodchips for heat, you are as implicit as any denier ever could be in what you think is destroying the planet.

Nope. I drive mine to pass every slow moving cunt on the road. The Bernie Bros and Clinton Hoes proudly displaying their insanity get very confused when I flip them off as I fly by.doogie said: -
My favorite snowflake irony of all time is the hatred of the little black rock. As a "luke warmer" who believes we need to be building more nuclear and phasing out the stuff out of our economy, I would argue that nothing else in human history did more to raise standards of living than coal.
-
Fossil Fuels were absolutely necessary and probably still aren't completely past their time. But, we can/will/must advance to cleaner and more efficient forms, just like any other tech. Triggering over advancing energy tech is just as FS as triggering over coal.YellowSnow said:My favorite snowflake irony of all time is the hatred of the little black rock. The world now produces the most technologically advanced energy mix in history. Nice rant, though.

Sounds like I need to go back on my meds. How many horse-drawn buggies do you own? Do you enjoy your abacus?doogie said:The world now produces the most technologically advanced energy mix in history. Nice rant, though.

Agree. I just like to show the black rock a little respect for what it did for mankind.WilburHooksHands said:

What the fuck else would you expect you fucking dope?doogie said:The world now produces the most technologically advanced energy mix in history. Nice rant, though.
Next you'll tell me medical technology is as advanced as it's ever been. -
You need to talk with Wilbur. The one charging we're somehow restraining technology advancement as it pertains to energy production

WE NEED MORE TRAINS

But WHERE is the R&D for battery powered trains???RaceBannon said:WE NEED MORE TRAINS

AGREE. Trains move shit around the country a lot more efficiently than semis or airplanes. They are second only to container ships in amount of fuel used to move a ton of freight.RaceBannon said:WE NEED MORE TRAINS

@AZDuck@SirTophamHatDawg69 tru??!?!?! -
I have a friend who uses coal and he would NEVER hurt the environment.

Tesla is powering the battery plant with a 70 MW solar farm. The assumption is bullshit.
BTW, Tesla is up 53% since Doogie's call for their solvency. -

How about the solar panels? They weren't made and delivered by unicorns riding on a rainbowUWhuskytskeet said:RedRocket said:The 8 year carbon debt is a black eye.
