Hadn't listened in a while, and this comment started an AIC binge...PostGameOrangeSlices said:We Die Young is the best song to come from the big four Seattle grunge bands.
Layne in that music video versus Layne 5 years later is pretty eerie, and the song prooved to be pretty prophetic for the vocalists of that scene
Let's just say Layne and bassist Mike Starr (RIP) weren't eating healthy and going to the gym like these pop fag modern country stars...

SoundgardenI like Pearl Jam, but they are #4 out of the big four Seattle bands. They do get repetitive to me though and I have to take them in small doses.
Too hard for me to choose from the other 3. It depends on the day.
Someone mentioned STP as grunge. That was imposed by their record label before their debut album.
If you're talking performing live, peak Scott Weiland was on another level as a front man. -
SoundgardenSoundgarden had some good deep tracks, better than the other big three, IMO. I don't listen to grunge music all that often because it's generally bummer music and this world is fucked up enough as is. I don't need a lot of reminders.

I wore the shit out of Ten and the unplugged show was brb jo material but that 2nd album was absolute horseshit. They redeemed themselves somewhat with Vitology. But after that I couldn't tell you 2 more songs that Pearl Jam had.
I also wore the shit out of SLTS and thought Un Utero was mostly crap. However a lot of Nirvanas prior stuff grew on me later in life.
Anyway wtf is up with you getting sent back to the top of the page every 30 seconds when trying to post!!!! Get your shit together Vanilla!!! Or put Grundle in charge
Soundgarden was strong with everything they did. And Audioslave cemented Cornells status as a top 2 all time rock vocalist.
AIC probably had more sustained success and were good just not great to me.
But with all that said. I'd have to say that Rail was the best Seattle had to offer. -

I actually saw Alice in Chains perform at the Redmond VFW. I partied at their rundown rental in Des Moines. I went to 7-11 with Layne Stayley and we sat on the curb and talked philosophy and some dumb stuff at 2AM.
I saw Mother Love Bone at the Legends club on the Tacoma Hill Top. I remember hearing gunfire a couple blocks away as we emerged into the parking lot. J?
But the best for me was Pearl Jam. I never much cared for them after the album "Ten", but that album is one of the best ever for any group.

Pearl JamApparently The Heat and Soundgarden are now awesome.
Come on guys. -
SoundgardenSoundgarden is the best. Fuck you if you disagree I will seriously kick your ass at the 7-11 of your choosing. Idiots.
