In the modern grouping it's got to be the Zac Brown Band ... I think the first time I saw them play was in 2006 at a bar in Fort Worth (cool story bruh) ...
There's also the genre of Country music tied to Texas/Red Dirt Country music ... probably the first two that I started listening to when I got down to TCU was Pat Green and Cross Canadian Ragweed ... a couple others that to me are worth a listen are Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen. -
