Trade Sherman?

Rumors are he's being shopped around. I'm not against it if it brought back a first rounder (Saints at 32).
The only problem is we are already thin at CB. Earl Thomas showed he is easily the most valuable member of the secondary when he was out.

Bellicheck would. The old trade a year early is better than a year late.

Depends on the return ... if you know you can get a replacement to slot in for him I'd strongly consider it.
At this point, he's as much of a distraction as an asset. -
He is going to be 29 and was never the most athletic corner in the league. He can only play smart for a little longer before he is going to getting a PI every other play to stay with fast receivers.
You don't give him up for a sack of potatoes but if you can get a team to give you a first rounder I say you definitely go for it. Help out the cap for the years to come to rebuild that dreck O line.
As long as Earl Thomas is back there you can still have a great to elite secondary. -
Not going to happen. He's more valuable to Seattle than he would be anywhere else. Nobody else has the defense taylor made to his skills + the culture to handle his personality.
He may not retire in Seattle, but they're not going to get an offer big enough to make it worthwhile to move him on this contract. -
You can win a SB this upcoming year so unless someone overpays like crazy you keep him.

If Seattle trades him it's because some other GM/Coach combo is stupid enough to think he'd be as valuable in their system.dnc said:Not going to happen. Yes, I think Seattle's window of opportunities to win a SB are rapidly closing, 1-2 more years remaining.HuskiesADW said:You can win a SB this upcoming year so unless someone overpays like crazy you keep him.

To be clear I'm looking only at his performance on the field. I don't care what he says or does off field

He'd be valuable in any system. It's unlikely he'd be $11 million per year PLUS what it would take to get Seattle to part with him valuable in any system.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

I mostly agree, but he was a distraction last year. Chancellor at the end of the year commented on it fucking them up.RaceBannon said:To be clear I'm looking only at his performance on the field. I don't care what he says or does off field
Sherman is a very good CB, but I don't totally discount the scheme helps. If we had depth I would love to trade him, but we don't. -
Just watch him go to New England...
