Your favorite Sark quotes

I'm starting to compile a list of the fucktarded things Sark has said over the last 4.5 years. I'm especially looking for things where he said something followed up by a shitty result. Something like the "house money" quote when the team was 6-1 and went on to lose 4 out of 5 or the "premier defensive coordinator in 'Merica" who then produced worse defenses than anything Ty put on the field.
Ready? Go!

I'm hearing that the Seattle Times has an excellent search function.

Penalties are the most overrated stat followed by 15 penalties for 110 yards against Cal.
-
that damn "the new offense de-emphasizes the priority on OL" statement he made at the beginning of the year.
- the offense falls apart because KP is getting his ass handed to himself again because of no protection.
AND
- magically we're still neglecting OL in recruiting and it'll only get worse
-
"This won't take long."
-
"We're finally in a position to contend for the North championship.... not only this year but for years to come."
-
"This is the best coaching staff in America" introducing them at a Husky BBall game. The only good one left and he fired the entire defensive staff 3 years later.

Woof
-
"Sometimes I like to flick my boner then stick it in battery acid"
-
I have never found this quote again, but I distinctly remember in 2011 when USC had Woods and Lee tearing it up at WR, Sark actually said that after QB, WR is the next most important position, and that it is vital to have threats on the outside.
More Sark quotes:
Rebuild will be completed sooner than later.
Won't lose a game at home in 2010.
Best OL he has had before 2012 opener.
James Atoe has the potential to be a top 5 pick.
-
"That's not who we are" - Said every time we lose a game in plunger fashion.
-
The fuck is a Seattle Times?
-
"It's about the journey"
"The final score isn't indicative of where we are as a program" -
It was Randy Hart's fault ...or something like that
-
Any quote where he referred to last years 7-6 team as a 9-4 team has to rank up there.

He said this about every fucking day of the week leading up to the Stanford, UNike, & ASU games, and I just read that he said it yet again today: "We’re a good football team."
THIS fucking guy. Just because you say things, do not make them so. You have to go out and prove that you're a good football team with your play, not your words. Stop talking. Christ. -
I remember him saying the same thing last year as well.Joe Stephanson said:He said this about every fucking day of the week leading up to the Stanford, UNike, & ASU games, and I just read that he said it yet again today: "We’re a good football team."

My favorite Sark quote is his annual "we are a tough football team... physical brand of football... proud of our toughness... yada yada yada" before the season. It is usually followed by a season of crappy line play, a half season of pass happy laterals offense, until a 3 game losing streak after which Sark is forced to run the ball.
Actually we didn't get that one this year. Freaking up tempo was the new trend. -

From 11.7.13 (Why practice in Dempsey today?) “The wind and the film and all that stuff again. It’s not supposed to be windy Saturday, but there was a high-wind alert coming in today, so we just felt like it was the right thing to do.”
-
Soon all these anecdotes will outnumber the bible of doogisms.

From 10.21.13 (Could ASU be a seminal loss?) “I think there are some things that can get fixed and fixed quickly coming out of this game. They’ve been addressed as a staff and they’ve been addressed with our football team. So that’s first. There are those things. There are some bigger things that can come out of this. Somewhere in here, this piece of the season, this portion of the season, granted we’ve played good teams, this portion of the season here has caused us issues for five consecutive years. And so when we hit the offseason, I keep a running log of notes and things so that when January comes around, as a staff there are things we need to address of things that came up throughout the season, and this is definitely going to be one of them. This isn’t going to go away. We’re going to play Stanford and Oregon every year. If we have to play them back to back every year, so be it. It’s that next game after those hard-fought, emotional battles, how we deal with it. Obviously we haven’t dealt with them well enough yet up to this point, so back to the drawing board. Those talks have to take place in January and have to get worked through in January. We can’t wait until the week of the ballgame.”

My favorite Sark quote will be this one....
"I regret to inform you all that I will be leaving to University of Washington to pursue (insert what the fuck ever here)"
Just sayin -
But the best Sarkingham quote form the past was
"it's important for me as a first-year head coach knowing that I know what is going on on that side of the ball. I trust Nick with everything he is doing."
Lol yeah that worked out well... -
11.15.13 (Is ‘the next step’ still attainable?) “Without a doubt. We’ll go play good football the last two games. We’ll see if that’s good enough to win. I can’t guarantee victories, but I do know that this team will get up off the mat.
Talk about instilling confidence in your team, shit howdy! -
"We pride ourselves on being a run-first team" prior to the ASU game.
-
Something to the effect of "I've never been congratulated so much for losing a game before."
-
Yup. I have been searching for this quote. It was right after the '09 LSU game. He was talking about fellow UW Faculty members congratulating him on the loss. A perfect example of the current mindframe at UW. I bet 7WS thought, 'I have it made in the shade. The expectations are so low around here, I can do no wrong.' And here we are.Meek said:Something to the effect of "I've never been congratulated so much for losing a game before."

"Wilcox, I wanted 6 deluxe burgers, not 5! Where the fuck is Nick Holt when you need him?"
-
"That's why players come to
Washington, to play in games like this".
Last year, on the eve of the Las Vegas bowl.
