Terrific hips. He's probably 6'3" 210 or so, but looks to have a nice frame. I see him as a WIL in our defense. He's really fast and you can see he's really powerful when he hits guys. Can see why we offered this early.

Reno is not typically a hot area for recruits ... so to get attention this early should speak to talent level (even without seeing the tape).
BYU is in a really interesting position with their decision to go independent a few years ago and how it's really marginalized their ability on a bigger scale as their bowl games are at this point 3rd or 4th tier games and they are for all intents and purposes locked into those games. The schedule is decent during the season but ...
There's a reason why BYU has been trying hard to get back into a major conference ... we saw during the 2017 class that BYU was really struggling to hold onto players and there were guys leaving the Utah area that normally wouldn't.
It's good to see that we're targeting the LB class so heavy in the 2018 class as we're going to lose a good number over the next 2 years ... in my mind, you start building the depth in your program about 2 years out in recruiting so that incoming kids have a chance to redshirt and then play in the depth before being counted on to come in and play significantly. -

Rules are different now. Kids go at 18 now, where as before they left at 19, usually meaning they spent a year on campus, got campus poon, then were eliminated from going on a mission. Now most of these guys leave before even getting a shot on campus. Honestly its a bit better for the schools involved with Mormon kids. If anything most of these kids will end up at JC, Utah State, Utah, or BYU because they realize the pickings for Mormon poon at other schools is severely limited. Available, but limited.
