My biggest problem with Trump so far, and populism in general, is this trade war bullshit. Major unions start sidling up to a president is as bad a sign as any.

Some of those unions are going to be pissed when countries stop importing their goods.

He's not taxing us! He's taxing the cause of the problems that's cost the U.S. Billions of dollars.

Anything but a tax and spend lib.

I don't see the point of this. Are there even any goods that come from Mexico that can't be manufactured or grown elsewhere?

Countries won't stop importing to the US. The US is the largest market in the world for imports. It's a strength that we are finally using to our advantage.

They're certainly free to develop their own economic superiority ( unless of course, they happen to be European)

There will be a reciprocal tariff. 100% guaranteed. No one wins.

So a minimum wage increase costs the consumer when it's a Democrat idea. But an import tax doesn't cost the consumer anything when it's a Republican idea?

    Interesting concept.

    Nobody said that.

I pointed out the oddity of democrats giving a shit about the consumer having costs passed on.

Every regulation and tax and green bullshit idea gets passed on.

Water is wet. If you don't like Trump negotiating better trade deals for America just say so. Stop with the bullshit.

You have to anal yze the benefits of more jobs versus the negative of hondo not being able to afford those cool Mexican trade goods whatever the fuck they are.

We also have better environmental laws in America than Mexico. Another reason to bring the plants home

Where the cost of those environmental laws get passed on to the consumer.

    Make sense? TRUMP sense!

Simple minds grasp simple concepts and can't expand the discussion past the talking point of the day. I feel sorry for your children (oldie but goodie)

We're talking 20% tariff anyway. Hope this helps

When the wall is built and the deals with Mexico are done we can review who paid what.
