RtL is the best album of all time. Even if you hate metal you can't deny Call of Cthulhu. Unless you're a faggot.Swaye said:Can we include metal? If so, Kill 'em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and And Justice for All will never be topped. Ever.

Never include the Black Album. If you had to go to a string of five records in a row, it would work for the argument, but Black just does not stand up to the original four. Metalllica redefined music and created an entire genre with the first four, they just got rich as fuck with the fifth.bananasnblondes said:
I was gonna post that earlier but I couldn't decide whether Black Album should be includedSwaye said:Can we include metal? If so, Kill 'em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and And Justice for All will never be topped. Ever.
Battery > Whereever I May Roam -
TNT
High Voltage
Dirty Deeds
Let There Be Rock
Powerage
Highway to Hell
Back in Black
That's a pretty strong line up right there, too. -
I'd take AC/DC and The Police any day of the week over Led Zep.dflea said:TNT

Those are all terrific albums and I own them all. But I don't think AC DC belongs in the same "greatest" rock band of all time conversation with the likes of the Stones or Zeppelin. They were too much of a one trick pony, albeit a band that got everything they could out of that formula.dflea said:TNT

Bass too thing on And Justice For All.Swaye said:Can we include metal? If so, Kill 'em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and And Justice for All will never be topped. Ever.
Just kidding, I love that record. That's a pretty good 4 album run for metal, but I for my money, I would go with the first 4 Sabbath Albums. -
Everybody Knows this is Nowhere
After the Gold Rush
Harvest
Zuma
Tonight's the Night
Stars and Bars -
Tonight's the Night is certainly NY at his most debauched. "It's too dark to put the keys in my ignition and the morning sun has yet to climb my hood ornament." Just fucking brilliant.RaceBannon said:Everybody Knows this is Nowhere

My actual #1 choice would be either
Swordfishtrombones
Rain Dogs
Franks Wild Years
Bone Machine
or
Henry's Dream
Let Love In
Murder Ballads
The Boatman's Call
but then again, I like really weird music
