Following that Orange Bowl, the next five years were very mediocre until the 1990 team. Will Husky fans have patience with Petersen if he had a stretch like this?

    1985: 7-5 DONE
    1986: 8-3-1
    1987: 7-4-1
    1988: 6-5
    1989: 8-4

One of those minions is Sark. I like our chances.
Sark beat Petersen with 8 months to prepare.

Honestly, yes. Look at how far Romar's four Sweet 16s have carried him. It took him three or four years to get on the hot seat. Doogs have an excuse for everything. Luckily I really doubt that will happen. Petersen will go 10-3 or something, but the Huskies aren't going to fall back to where they were, especially with WhOregon out of it for the foreseeable future.

Aside: Those were the years I really started following Husky football. I honestly wondered, as a child, what all the hype about Don James was until 1990. '86 was a pretty solid year but the rest were all underwhelming. Watching Chris Chandler play Tulane in the Dependence Bowel on Queer 13 on December 21st was not special.
