Rapp is great, but Budda does some things Rapp will never be able to do. Budda will be the toughest player to replace next year.
As true freshman go, Rapp has probably been better than Budda, but it's a tough comparison. Rapp is on a better team with better talent around him. Both (as expected) greatly improved as the season went on.
Malloy was better than any of the 91 safeties rather easily. And I love Pahukoa and Smith.
But Budda is now the greatest UW safety of all time.
Picking a nit here but Budda hasn't really played much safety this year.
Playing cover on the slot man 90% of the time this year. Will be interesting to see if he plays as a slot corner in the pros or as a Earl Thomas guy. He has been amazing since Kwitkowski moved him up towards the LOS.
since we all know you're gone after this season, thank you. Seriously. you could have followed the path of every other big time in state recruit at the time and left, but you didn't.
You'll be remembered for a long time
Does Budda read this board? That's what I thought.
And Lawyer would easily start at S on any Husky team....EVER
Budda starts over Lawyer on this team. If you want to argue Lawyer starts over JoJo or Rapp I agree, but Budda is locked into the lineup for this team before Lawyer. I think the reverse is true in the mid 90's, but Budda's edge is coverage is a lot more important now.

I said at S, Budda starts at nickel, and play his best at that position.

They are both great.
Budda goes from D to O immediately and throws a hell of a block to clear the way to the end zone.
Fucking LOVE our D!!!
