Gardenhire sells the couch

not twetters
I would just Like to say that I appreciate everyone At the University of Washington and thank them for everything they've helped me accomplish while I spent my time here. After talking with my family and really taking time to make this decision. I will no longer be continuing my career here at the University of Washington. It was a real tough decision but I have to go wit ma Heart and make the best decision I feel is for my future. And I will transfer to the University i feel is right to do it at. And to my Teammates y'all already know what y'all gotta do and that's get everything y'all worked hard for and deserve. !

He's leaving right now?

Good question, kinda reads that he's done now.RoadDawg55 said:He's leaving right now?

Why would you not wait until TSIO?
He must've done something. -
DB is one of the areas we? can afford to lose a guy or three. We need some more attrition. However, it would have been a lot cooler if he'd decided this in about two months instead of now.
-
Wow. One injury and he could be starting.
Also might be a hint to how well the redshirt CBs are doing in practice this year. -
He was going to be fighting a bunch of freshmen and sophmores for playing time as a senior, and probably lose that battle. Joyner, Murphy, and Miller probably are the 3 starters next year.
-
He's been playing really well both as a DB and on special teams. This is sort of crazy timing because he's one injury away from being the next man up. He would start on 90% of other teams out there.
-
Comments suggest Trojans? How?
-
I'll wait until I hear from Fleenor
-
Also, Fuck you Grundle for twatting actual bad news out of that twat of yours. Stick to the satire or DIAFF!

Not terribly surprising ... best of luck to him
Does anybody know if he has his degree or not? That will dictate where he can transfer to -
So Sidney Jones is coming back?
-
True Junior, so most likely not.Tequilla said:Not terribly surprising ... best of luck to him

Another possibility.
Gardenhire has been suspended or dismissed and this was his version of "You can't fire me, I quit."
-
yeah, the timing is weird since I actually only really heard his name finally this weekend when he made a couple big plays.
-
G-Boom started nine times in 2015 and the first game this year.
I'd rather have him then not, particularly for the rest of this season.
But if there are off the field issues, then that's another story.
-
he had to have some sort of off the field issue and is getting out in front of it. He is not a starter but he is a contributor that already burned an eligibility year this season. With a chance to be playing for a conference title / playoff spot on the line this week with the biggest game of the year, there is not a single advantage to leaving the team right now. Not to mention any school that he transfers to, or any nfl team in the future is going to want to know why the hell you would quit the team now at this time with all that on the line.

Young Nate Dogg, good friends with Gardenhire... Hahahahhahahaha
-
He has a redshirt year to give, so he could—in theory—transfer and sit out. He just was never quite good enough to break through and I doubt he would've started the whole year next year.
It makes sense on some level. -
now who's the real victim? can you answer that?CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:Young Nate Dogg, good friends with Gardenhire... Hahahahhahahaha

Amusing timing given some of the commentary on our recording last night ...Dennis_DeYoung said:He has a redshirt year to give, so he could—in theory—transfer and sit out. He just was never quite good enough to break through and I doubt he would've started the whole year next year.

Off the field issues is a distinct possibility ... and the fact that he's on social media probably tells you that he's no warning, just gone.
Make no mistake though that Gardenhire is a capable college player ... his fall back in the depth this year to me is more of an indication that he's been passed by MORE CAPABLE players than anything he has done ...
I can imagine for him that reality is probably sobering and realizing that he needs to go elsewhere to get his name out there for the next level needed to happen.
-
This is going to happen. Speaks volumes about the depth of the secondary. Crazy that we have like 2 more and possibly 3 studs coming in next year for the secondary.

Thanks for the all caps to emphasize your pointsTequilla said:
