"It's absolutely the case that we have not been able to secure all the American information that we needed to, and that we've had the traitor Edward Snowden steal that information. He should be brought back from Russia and given due process, and I think the proper outcome would be that he would be given a death sentence for having put friends of mine, friends of yours, who served in the military today, at enormous risk, because of the information he stole and then released to foreign powers."

    How outrageous.

If he is convicted the penalty for treason is death. I'm surprised you're surprised.

The due process part that you are trying to gloss over is kind of important but by all means keep being outraged over nothing. Its what you guys do best

Speaking of being outraged over nothing. Your buddy Trump and his fight ("lol") to keep Ford from moving production to Mexico.

he could say "be given due process" and then say the proper outcome would be a full acquittal, as he was acting in the public's best interest.
But by all mean, keep drinking the kool-aid

I'm not sure why someone giving secrets to a foreign government is worthy of a pardon? I didn't really follow his case.

Assange is an American hero though

Assange and Snowden both helped pull the curtain back, albeit in different ways.

If you support mass surveillance of American citizens by the gubmint, then by all means, hang Snowden and send a message to anyone else working on the inside that might dare to speak out on behalf of the people.

Can I hang him because I support keeping my government's secrets secret, and not compromising the work and safety of State Dept. employees around the world, our intelligence operations and operatives, and those foreign nationals who work with us? Can I reasonably expect somebody in his position to go through established whistleblower channels instead of going straight to publicly airing our dirty laundry for all to see?

People betray their country for MICE. Money, ideology, compromise, and/or ego. Snowden seems to have an ideological bent more than ego, Assange more an ego bent than ideological. I'd like to see both of them prosecuted vigorously (yes, I know Assange isn't American, but he is wanted by three govts., including the US).

On Snowden, looks like it. But if you support what Assange did, then we differ (and you would be wrong((!!!!))).

I was being a partisan hack on Assange. To be consistent he needs to answer for what he did as well.

Maybe we should take a shot a peace in the Middle East while we're on a roll

if the government wasn't doing blatantly unconstitutional things, we wouldn't be having this conversation. If we're gonna prosecute snowden, why don't we prosecute all of them as well?

And FTR, I support assange and think it's hilarious that all the HRC supporters are butthurt over what he did

Yes. Give him a trial and THEN execute him.

Then why is the left calling for Obingo to pardon her if she's done nothing?

The sad part is our government often covers up this stuff so the public doesn't know just how poorly they actually maintain security and perform there esential functions.

I'm rooting for Trey Gowdy for AG.
