The climate on Earth has only been habitable for human life for a fraction of a percentage of the planet's existence.
The planet will keep on spinning and some species will survive, but human life will cease to exist on Earth if the climate changes too much in either direction. And the build up won't be pleasant as populations all over the world are permanently displaced.
Just axe the dinosaurs what happens when the climate no longer supports your kind of life. -
