it was a dumb doog post but my point wasn't around a specific major or that fozzy couldn't hack it if he worked hard enough. obviously he could. just that stanford athletes are generally very very much compartmentalized when compared to their summa cum laude east coast boarding school polo-playing classmates and colleagues.

    Here's a happy compromise.

Come to UW and play football for 4 years.

Transfer to Stanford and get your "Stanford Education".

    Win-win for everyone involved.

I'm just hoping his mom gets cancer so he can ball out here while she receives the best treatment in the country.

edit: top recroots' parents don't really read these boreds, right? Only shitty qb dads trying to hype up their kid's recrootment tapes.

    hi fozzy

you go to stanford, you major in science technology and society (which is the jock major at stanford that lets everyone know you're a jock who didn't get into the school on your academic merits). maybe you play in the NFL, maybe you don't. in the bay and at stanford -- you're the pariah. kleiner perkins isn't hiring you. google or facebook aren't hiring you. you will have an asterisk next to your stanford degree for as long as you live because you're an athlete, especially a football player. i've sat in countless hiring committees and repeatedly watched hiring managers laugh and then scold their recruiters for bringing them "pseudo ivies" aka scholarship athlete stanford/ivy people.

at washington, in a city lorded over by uw people, you will forever be the hometown hero. people will crawl over each other in an attempt to get you set for life and networked. you go to an elite school, represent your hometown/family/friends, nfl or not you can go any direction and get recognized.

source: lived and did the silicon valley cliche for many years, dated stanford athlete.

college gameday bashed Stanford's OLine. Can't believe he wants to play for a broken OLine with an offense that can't score in front of a 3/4 empty stadium with fans on their laptops when he can play for UW with a Trey Adams combo package in front of a loud stadium for a great team and the best damn head coach playing for his home state and blocking for a heisman hopeful #runonsentence.

It's gotta be awkward for people like Banner who is from Washington and his home state team is better than the place he went to to win. Post college when UW is kicking ass he can't root for the Huskies when he's chillin' back in Washington. Something deep inside him will want to root for UW as he is sitting in front of his TV but he also knows he's 0% Husky and he sailed the wrong ship. Just saying, choices.
Side note, Fozzy is really good friends with Trey Adams and they go golfing together sometimes. The fact that Trey is straight balling out this year and has shown some serious improvement from last year should say a lot to Fozzy.

He's probably still leaning Stanford but who knows for sure.

This should be a fluid situation for him. If Stanford loses for a 3rd straight time @ Notre Dame, that's another negative signal.

But why not join the swag long-haired lifestyle?

We need to get verbals from any male children at birth.
Females too. Just in case. Title IX shit might go too far and this is a good pairing.

I doubt the big doofus is making a decision until after the season. Why won't you guys enjoy UW's season and worry about this TBS bullshit after the season?

It would be even better to not worry at all. You guys are adults worrying about a high school kid. If you personally know the kid it would be one thing, but I doubt any of you do. It's truly creepy and gay to come up with certain scenarios and talk about how he will feel in 20 years.

weren't you one of the guys who went to Mora's house at 4 in the morning with the cake and shit?

A select few are actually complaining about the OL coach of probably the best OL in the Pac 12 because a teenage boy might not be a huge fan of said coach.

It's only kind of bad to use recruiting as a distraction when UW sucks. UW doesn't suck though.

I apologize for wanting a coach that can coach and recruit, whether you like to admit it or not, really good players help.

Would you like me to go through the list of recruits we've missed on on the OL?

And yes, I do mean like Trey Adams, we need more players like him and we haven't gotten anywhere near enough.
    Sure.

Who gives a shit on who we missed when we have the best OL in the conference?
