Look, we all want to win a Natty every year, we wanted Petersen to walk in and change us into Alabama on steroids within the first half hour...

I also want the Oregon cheer squad to beg me for a night of round robin with them providing the blow, pot and scotch.

But it's not possible or realistic.

Anyone who watched Lambo and then Neu and then Gilby and then Ty and then Sark and couldn't tell over the last two seasons that Pete was different, I can't help you.

A coach, if he's good, should show it in the first three years.

DJ took year three, Pete is doing the same.

After a promising start, I watched a Lambo coached team fall flat on their face.

The 6-0 start is promising, indeed. It does not, however, erase the talent and winnable games pissed last year and 2014.

My Doog milestones: First- win the PAC-12. Second- Preferably undefeated regular schedule Third - Get a playoff berth. Fourth - Win the semi-final game Finally - Win the final game and hoist the Natty trophy.

Until then, I'm enjoying the wins and keeping a healthy skepticism.

I've loved Pete throughout, but I certainly can't fault the people that said they weren't impressed with him in his first two seasons.

I just felt that after all the years of bullshit about "we are building something" that we were actually building something.

It continues to amaze me that some of the same people who were so right in pointing out everything that was fucked up under Sarkisian expected them to be fixed overnight.
    You don't get it.

I was always relatively confident that Pete was going to be successful, but I always thought Smith was a limpdick joke of a coach who looked like a lesbian. He still looks like a lesbian, but fuck me if he hasn't proved us all wrong. He's been calling some fantastic games and has been running circles around opposing defensive coordinators. And he definitely deserves a lot of credit for Browning becoming a legitimate Heisman contender.

Babushka decided to go Putin on the conference.

Our offense so far has been more consistent than our defense, and is the reason we didnt lose in Arizona for the 81st fucking time in a row

I think going to 2 dl vs the spread has been a mistake, but one that we might see adjusted over the bye week by Coach K. Otherwise, the D would be near perfect this year.

'14 was a scratch. How the fuck do you win with Cyler Miles or Jeff Lindquist at QB? Last year was immature and difficult, mostly because of Smiff's unnecessarily complicated play-calling with a true frosh QB and lazy fucking receivers with stone hands. Firing Pease was the right move. Sark would've kept him another year. Ty? Wouldn't have noticed anything wrong.

Pete was the right hire from day one. His recruiting alone, after mediocre seasons 1 & 2, is fucking amazing by any measure. Anyone who ever accused him of being the "same old shit" as Sark or Ty is a blind fucking idiot who needs an open mouth swirly in an overflowing Honey Bucket, before being torched on the W.

And now we're praising Smiff when Tedford has him on his knee with his hand in his back. Incredible.

Fucking this. Stupid pills must be all the rage around here. Smiff only looks decent because Tedford stands over him at practice with a tenderizing mallet and hits him in the tenders whenever he does dumb shit stuff. Christ.

In a game where the O scores 70 points, Smiff continues to distinguish himself with bad calls that stick out like a sore thumb. The worst thing about trick plays and misdirection plays is the confidence they provide to opposing defenses when they fail or result in a only a yard or two. They work best when completely unexpected, but everyone expects them from Smiff. Save that shit for when it's needed. The last thing this program needs is a self-sabateur monkey-wrenching a decent offense. This will hurt us in a tight game against better teams. Tedford should just hurl him through the skybox glass already.

    Fuck off.

Pete had a worse W-L record than Sark. And his whole "built for life" mantra was no better than Ty's "molder of men" as long as they were losing.

Make whatever fucking excuses you want about the QB (doog) or recruiting (NAMBLA doog), but that's the truth.

Claiming you "knew all along" that Pete was the guy is bullshit, as there were no facts to support such a position. Your blind faith was wrong for 15 years.

We all dooged over the hire but then his first year he fucks up Stanford and blows the Arizona game to put us in CHARTED waters of loserdom once again. Then we sucked again last year.

If you didn't doubt Petersen coming into this year you wanted Ty to have 5 years
I didn't want Ty to have 5 years.

@Tommy, @Race. I played the game. I seriously doubt either of you did.

I weathered all your bullshit last year on that "Fire Pete, Hire Chip" thread, and said then Pete was the right hire at the right time. So, go read the thread, dredge up your Bama avatars, start writing "winners win" every other post, and suck each other off to your hearts' content.

@Tommy, you have no football acumen. Stick to slamming Romar.

At least Race is funny, but then he says really stupid stuff like "you wanted Ty for 5 years" or "Nobody prays to lose." (Profound). Sure, Race. I watched the 0-12 from my Tyee seats and couldn't wait for another year.

You two shit-talkers are defensive as fuck because you talked endless streams of smack and can't pull it back. Now Pete needs to lose a big game for either of you to maintain a shred of credibility.

You made your beds, enjoy them. It's called comeuppance.

Hey Boobs: Who was the best team in the Pac10 in 1984 if not UW, as you proudly claimed? You never answered the question. Did you forget?

Nobody is more defensive than the Ty needed more time crew. I can still smoke out the remnants of that crowd even though they are here under witness protection.

why did seemingly nice and docile posters like turdbuffer, haie and bricksquad turn evil after one of UW's most joyous wins in a long time
