Question for the people who had written off Petersen...

After a promising start, I watched a Lambo coached team fall flat on their face.mobey said:Look, we all want to win a Natty every year, we wanted Petersen to walk in and change us into Alabama on steroids within the first half hour...
I also want the Oregon cheer squad to beg me for a night of round robin with them providing the blow, pot and scotch.
But it's not possible or realistic.
Anyone who watched Lambo and then Neu and then Gilby and then Ty and then Sark and couldn't tell over the last two seasons that Pete was different, I can't help you.
A coach, if he's good, should show it in the first three years.
DJ took year three, Pete is doing the same.
The 6-0 start is promising, indeed. It does not, however, erase the talent and winnable games pissed last year and 2014.
My Doog milestones: First- win the PAC-12. Second- Preferably undefeated regular schedule Third - Get a playoff berth. Fourth - Win the semi-final game Finally - Win the final game and hoist the Natty trophy.
Until then, I'm enjoying the wins and keeping a healthy skepticism. -
It continues to amaze me that some of the same people who were so right in pointing out everything that was fucked up under Sarkisian expected them to be fixed overnight.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:I've loved Pete throughout, but I certainly can't fault the people that said they weren't impressed with him in his first two seasons.
I just felt that after all the years of bullshit about "we are building something" that we were actually building something. -

I am MORE THAN HAPPY TO BE PROVEN WRONG for the first time ever about the head coach at WASHINGTON.
Something doogs never understood after years of talking shit on the internet, is that IF Sark had won, I'd be the first in line to bleaux him. Instead he brought a tiger in a cage to practice and got plungered in Red Stick by a REAL football team. 2 years before that a bunch of doogs gave him a standing ovation because UW kept it close in a moral victory against LSU because they were still suffering PTSD from Owen-12.
Until this season, Pete was a slightly shittier Sark in the W-L column with a cleaner (Tyrone) image. Also, it's not too late for this team to finish 7-6. They won't, but the poont is that Pete still hasn't accomplished anything. So I reserve the right to call for his fucking head if he fucks this season up.
Just win. It fixes everything. -
I was always relatively confident that Pete was going to be successful, but I always thought Smith was a limpdick joke of a coach who looked like a lesbian. He still looks like a lesbian, but fuck me if he hasn't proved us all wrong. He's been calling some fantastic games and has been running circles around opposing defensive coordinators. And he definitely deserves a lot of credit for Browning becoming a legitimate Heisman contender.

Babushka decided to go Putin on the conference.
Our offense so far has been more consistent than our defense, and is the reason we didnt lose in Arizona for the 81st fucking time in a row -
I think going to 2 dl vs the spread has been a mistake, but one that we might see adjusted over the bye week by Coach K. Otherwise, the D would be near perfect this year.

'14 was a scratch. How the fuck do you win with Cyler Miles or Jeff Lindquist at QB? Last year was immature and difficult, mostly because of Smiff's unnecessarily complicated play-calling with a true frosh QB and lazy fucking receivers with stone hands. Firing Pease was the right move. Sark would've kept him another year. Ty? Wouldn't have noticed anything wrong.
Pete was the right hire from day one. His recruiting alone, after mediocre seasons 1 & 2, is fucking amazing by any measure. Anyone who ever accused him of being the "same old shit" as Sark or Ty is a blind fucking idiot who needs an open mouth swirly in an overflowing Honey Bucket, before being torched on the W.
And now we're praising Smiff when Tedford has him on his knee with his hand in his back. Incredible.
