hey DAWG fans, first TIME in a while our DAWGS have any kind of expectations...

in Hardcore Husky Board
so NOW two scenarios are UPON us:

1) our DAWGS live up to expectations, win the North, make the playoffs, get beaten 42-10 by BAMA, and everyone is relatively happy.

2) our DAWGS fail hilariously to live up to expectations and play the way they have the past 15 years. This place gets highly entertaining.

    2. We should be relatively good, but this hype is insane. 7-6 last year, Pete has beaten very few, if any legitimately good teams, but this team has become a trendy pick.

    I know you're being sarcastic, but killing and burying his offensive coordinator would have gotten Pete arrested and right now we would be going through a media circus trial that would probably captivate the nation and give Obama the needed ammo to call for the abolishing of football.
    Would have been more entertaining than the product on the field.

    Some have picked "us" to get to the national championship gayme. This team was 4-6 at one point. Let's start with beating whOregon and ASU first. This team should be in the mix for a Rose Bowl in November at least though.

    I feel like the expectations are greater than 2000, quite honestly.

    IIRC we were projected top 15 and #1 in the PAC but no national title talk. And that was with a senior QB coming off a 2nd place Pac finish.
