Solid FREE PUB right hereFreeChavez said:NCAA championships require coaches. NBA championships require players. Players run the nba and their staffs, while the NCAA has legacy coaches who run the NCAA.
Blatt is just another body in the midst of nothing. Lebron lost not because of blatt or lebron, but because GS was better and had a healthy team. A healthy Cleveland is an interesting matchup which i still think GS wins in 7, but who knows. Either way, very few coaches in the nba ever make that big of a difference. GS is one easy example, but there is a very small sample size who do.
Blatt could literally be replaced by @swaye and and the only thing which would change is that the hookers would have mandatory tats. The game play and the results on the floor would be the same -
Lol. That it even came to that shows how big of loser Love must really be.allpurpleallgold said:Peter Vescey tweeted that Blatt told people it was him or Love.
I thought Blatt was good game to game in the playoffs last year. But Scott Brooks was also decent at that and he fucking sucked.
This is probably the last hope for Love. Like maybe Blatt just didn't know what he had and how to use him. Pretty weak but maybe. -
If you guys haven't figured out the Warriors vs Spurs is for the championship I can't help you.

It's too bad the NBA doesn't follow the NCAA and slot the top four seeds instead of following geographic divisions and conferences. It would never work for TV ratings but the conference finals have generally been more epic battles than the finals themselves.RoadDawg55 said:If you guys haven't figured out the Warriors vs Spurs is for the championship I can't help you.

Changing coaches in season seems dumb unless there's a huge problem or the team is just awful.

Paul Westhead to Pat Riley comes to mind

Magic disliked Westhead right? I guess if the star player really hates the coach, it makes sense on some level.RaceBannon said:Paul Westhead to Pat Riley comes to mind

Bob Hopkins had the Sonics 5-17.

He was fired 11 games into his 3rd season in LA after starting with a 7-4 record.RaceBannon said:Paul Westhead to Pat Riley comes to mind
He won the title in his first year.
Finished 2nd in the Pacific in his 2nd year and lost in the 1st round to 40-42 Houston Rockets team lead by Moses Malone.
Could argue that the firing was well deserved. -
It's going to be fun watching the media circus after every loss under Lue. Really bizarre situation to be in, if he doesn't win a championship in his first half season he's a failure.
Calling out the team for being out of shape is alarming. I don't care what pace you're running, if you're a pro NBA basketball player you shouldn't be out of shape in the middle of the season. These dudes dogged it on Blatt.
