Why the fuck is the playoff played on New Year's Eve and not New Year's day?

Ratings were down almost 40% compared to last year's games that were played Jan. 1st.

Who's bright idea was this? Looks like next year's playoff games will be on New Year's eve as well.

What I like to do, I like to start a playoff game at 1 PM PST on NYE ... and then wonder why ratings are down.

Doesn't anyone at ESPN realize NYE is not a holiday, and most companies have you working until around 3 PM.

Fucking stupid.

I hate the playoff concept more than Oregon.

Speaking of vacation, I actually came home on the 30th from the mountains, to assure I'd be home.

However, I am a CFB junkie, most people wouldn't do that.

Maybe you should learn the concept of examples.

If you cant answer the question yourself you should watch the sport once in awhile. I know late saturday games interfere with your molly-induced hot nights of dancing with your fellow smooth-skinned gents, but college football requires some basic knowledge pre-season to understand.. Try wiki at least 1st, if you can weed through the liberal propoganda, you'll get an answer to why this years playoff semi's were on new years eve.
