Either the parents are divorced and actively use their child as a tool against each other; the parents are druggies and the kid is wigged out mentality from day one; Mom and Dad both work and work hard, butt pay no attention to their child and provide no consequences or support; Mom or dad or both are physically abusive; Or Mom and Dad felt their parents were too hard on them, so instead of being their parent, they become their child's best friend and make as many excuses for them as possible. It comes down to balance. Unfortunately, that doesn't exist in today's society.

The older baby boomers probably didn't raise many millenials. The younger baby boomers had most of the millenails, with some help from older gen x'ers.
But most importantly the political, educational, and cultural world millenials were born into and grew up in was created and run by baby boomers.
I always found it a bit ironic that the Baby Boomers of all people would talk so much shit about the millennials. A generation that grew up with the spoils of WW2 and did nothing but complain and squander their inheritance for their entire lives. Voted in self interest for big government debt and handouts before we were even alive, tanked the economy because everyone was entitled to a house, and generally brought the moral fabric of the nation to shambles. Raised the millennials to be just like them and then blamed them for it. Fuck off and quit buying into the media image of the kids. The real millennials will show their colors over the next few decades and we will celebrate your deaths as we pull the plug on your life support.
