Maybe the Gaskin needs 25+ carries is overblown, but it you honestly think this over analytical pass happy offense hasn't cost UW multiple games, DIAFF because you are a hopeless doog.

There's something to conserving a small back, but that just means you bring in another back once in a while.

1st down - bubble screen to Gaydon Mickens for - 1 yds
2nd down and 11 - run it for 3 yards
    3rd down and 8 - incomplete pass

    3 and out

    stupid play calling

No, it's not on fucking execution, and even if it was, that's still on coaches somewhat

We know what guys like Mickens are now.

    So run the ball more.

Yeah but the commentators think Smiff is creative and stuff.

I see everything you guys are describing. Can't really disagree with any of it. And yet, Peterman's BSU teams ran the shit out of the ball. My sense is that his offensive scheme and playcalling at UW are being heavily influenced by some pretty glaring personnel deficits, both in terms of talent and experience. Going ultra-conservative, and trusting your stout defense to keep you in games to the end, has given UW a puncher's chance in several games that could (should?) have been blowouts. Peterman's sideline demeanor tells me he doesn't like what they're doing on offense any more than we do. My guess is that the offense will look a lot different in a year or two.

    "Stubborn in the run game."

This quote, that Peterman has used multiple times, is as troubling as "House Money." It really, really bothers me and IMO should greatly concern the rest of you. We are treading into "the coaches know more than us" territory if it doesn't.

I share some optimism about the improvement, especially with Browning, but holy fuckall..

I can't see Peterman keeping it simple next year and giving it to Gaskin 25 times and letting D-Wash, McGrew, whoever the hell else get another 10-15 carries.

If we actually played like Utah or Stanford, teams that Peterman says he wants to be like, we would have a chance at 10+ wins next year.
