The only QB who is considered good in today's NFL who didn't lead his team to the playoffs by his third year was Drew Brees.

Then he blew up for the Saints @ 97.72 -
Like I said Brees is the only good QB today who didn't establish himself as a good QB by year three.

Denver is thankful IrishDoog isn't there GM.
He would have let it play out on Tebow while Elway pulled the plug after only two years. He even won a playoff game.
