After a 90 day wait.

Doubt it.DontCallMeShirley said:After a 90 day wait.
A coworker of mine was on vacation in New Zealand a couple of years ago, and did a
backcountry horse camping trip. After a few days into the trip, she woke up in the hospital.
She had been thrown from a horse on a hillside, and had to be hauled out by a heli- ambulance. She was in the NZ hospital for over a week -- cracked pelvis.
When she left the country -- her total medical bill was $0. No 90 day wait for anything.
The USA remains the only 1st world country to do for-profit healthcare, and continues to rank near the bottom of the 1st world in numerous medical measures. We even rank behind Cuba in health services to children.
But hey -- keep those dividends rolling in from the pharmacy techs and health insurance companies. -
Harold was just getting even for canooks referring to our all-season radials as "3-season radials."

I guess this website sprang up unnecessarily. Your cherry picked stats are full of shit.OZONE said:

Every leading expert agrees that we rank near the bottom of 1st world countries for health care delivery and quality, and spent twice as the average of the 1st world. Nothing there is cherry picked.

I don't think OZONE has ever met a doctor.
-
Virginia Mason is filled with Canucks seeking care
-
That's what for-profit health care wants you to believe.
Fear they system used by the rest of the 1st world countries. -
My wife worked there for years
Try again -
I guarantee you there are more american's going to other countries for healthcare -- then there are people from other countries coming here for healthcare.
-
I checked. Your wrong

Then fucking LEAVE!

US is ranked 37th in overall care but first in expenditure. Healthscare is about 18% of GDP.

Spoiler alert: The people with guns win.

Indeed. And well organized militias >>> gun nuts with 13 guns living in their mom's basement.PurpleJ said:Spoiler alert: The people with guns win.

When you remove the expenses for those receiving free care and rerun the numbers, how do we rank?Fire_Marshall_Bill said:US is ranked 37th in overall care but first in expenditure. Healthscare is about 18% of GDP.

Hillary is coming for your guns and your health care. Scary shit.

I don't know, but Single Payer would save a lot of money and eliminate that problem.sarktastic said:

Remove the expenses and do what with them? It is 18% of the GDP no matter who you assign the expenses to. You might want to retake freshman accounting.sarktastic said:

You like to say that adding more bureaucracy to health care would make it cheaper. You do that.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:

Do you have any convincing evidence as to why it works in every other 1st world country, but wouldn't work here?PurpleJ said:

I'll take that as a no.

You want an unbiased study for either side of the argument? Good luck. They're all funded by special interests groups. You want empirical evidence of how something similar would work in the US? Take a look at Medicare/Medicaid and the ACA. Medicare/Medicaid accounts for about 35% of healthcare spending, and most of it is on unnecessary operations pushed through by the guys making money off it.
-
All the more reason to get the for profit model out of our health care.PurpleJ said:and most of it is on unnecessary operations pushed through by the guys making money off it.
Like every other 1st world country has done. -
It's all fun and games until your doctors can't pay off their medical schooling and you lack the funding to do research into curing diseases.OZONE said:

I hope Hilldog comes for the guns just to troll the bored.
-
The funding to cure diseases would be bigger with big pharma and the insurance companies cut out of the pie.
No question education costs need to come down. I think Bernie has a plan for that. -
Her own party won't even elect her. Which is saying something. Ham sandwich and all that.doogsinparadise said:I hope Hilldog comes for the guns just to troll the bored.
