The one position that gets fucked the most playing true frosh is the OL followed by the QB. Washington is doing both in abundance. This team will go to a bowl game and improve along the way. The program is not on fire yet, LIPO.
Fix the O and washington is winning the north next year. Don't fix it and Pete will be gone after 4. Pretty simple. -
Cool story, but what if we played 2nd stringers along the OL and at QB who are not freshmen. Would that change your view.Doogles said:The one position that gets fucked the most playing true frosh is the OL followed by the QB. Washington is doing both in abundance. The OP lays out one of the most retarded arguments I've seen here. Yet the lemmings line up and support it. Unbelievable. -
Once Kohler and Porter get a little more seasoned the offense should take off. It's not Sark's fault that Willingham bungled OL recruiting.

And yet we do not run the ball to take pressure off the "young" OL/QB.Doogles said:The one position that gets fucked the most playing true frosh is the OL followed by the QB. Must be the young OL/QBs fault. -

Is it all about the Xs and Os or the Jimmys and Joes?
-
The hookers and the bloes

Exactly. Per Muttzen's breakdown, I counted 21 pass attempts or sacks in the 2nd half which is FS with such a green QB and OL.ThomasFremont said:

Sorry about the racist crap
Accounting for stars per player they were 14th (3.5), 11th (3.56), 5th (3.81), and 10th (3.64).
Pete has sucked so far but Harbaugh inherited a team returning 17 starters and is loaded with talent and experience. -
Obviously you'll do better with 1st round NFL talent than you would with the kid in the wheelchair from Glee pounding the rock. But let's stop with this stupid fucking notion that recruiting fixes bad coaching.RoadDawg55 said:

At best it will mask bad coaching for a game here or there. But since your shitty coach will cost you a few games anyways, it makes no difference in the win total. Last time I checked, WINS were the only thing that mattered.

Speaking of Florida - Muschamp was quoted this summer as saying that the new coach better not poor mouth the talent because he left a lot there
Of course Mcilvane poor mouthed the talent when he came on board. Yet Florida is playing much better this year.
Because of coaching -
And when Harbaugh had a second consecutive losing season at Stanford it was proof he sucked.
-
You really think Sark left UW like Teevens left Stanford?
-
Who's the doog now? Win or GTFO, right?RaceBannon said:You really think Sark left UW like Teevens left Stanford?
He inherited a heisman finalist running back and the current best CB in the NFL. Also Stanford has recruited well nationally forever because of academis, the problem is the higher ranked guys would get there, get soft, and play school instead of football. No question Harbaugh changed that culture.
His first few years he picked up some under the radar prospects that turned out to be pretty damn good players that supplanted upperclassmen and took their lumps. His 3rd recruiting class (just like Pete's at the moment) is when the bigger names really started to bite on Harbaugh. The higher foundation talent level, plus coached up no names turned star upperclassmen delivered his 4th season results. It's not that fucking difficult. -
Clearly you are the doog. Petersen inherited 3 first round draft choices
-
Wow I had no idea that Harbaugh inherited 17 returning starters (and unlike at some schools, those returning starters were pretty good).
OTOH, Washington has played 10 true freshmen play this season: OL Trey Adams, LB Tevis Bartlett, QB Jake Browning, LB Ben Burr-Kirven, TB Myles Gaskin, DB Austin Joyner, WR Chico McClatcher, DB Jordan Miller, WR Quinten Pounds and WR Isaiah Renfro.
The team's current roster includes 52 freshmen (true and redshirt) and 24 sophomores, as compared to 13 seniors.
But yeah, sooner rather than later, Petersen needs to pull an upset win (@ Arizona last year hurts that much more after the losses to BSU and Cal this year) and ideally doesn't lose another home game this year....that includes beating Oregon but the spread will probably be 8-10 points.HeretoBeatmyChest said:

Harbaugh never took Stanford backwards. There lies the major difference.
Petersen has taken UW backwards and he gets a lot of slack an excuses made for it. From when he was hired, I haven't seen much to inspire a lot of confidence.
Fans are magnifying every single positive because they don't want to admit that he has been a disappointment so far. -
They weren't good under Hoke and when they played Utah most said they sucked. Now that they are playing well they are good?HFNY said:Wow I had no idea that Harbaugh inherited 17 returning starters (and unlike at some schools, those returning starters were pretty good).

And they all left immediately after year 1. One of which was kicked off the team because he was not jiving with the team. Harbaugh got those guys as sophomores/rs frosh. Big difference.RaceBannon said:Clearly you are the doog. Petersen inherited 3 first round draft choices
Harbaugh is a better coach than Petersen, he's a top 5 coach in the world at any level, imo. Petersen's tenure is far from played out. I still think he is a good coach, the O is a disaster and he needs to figure it out, adapt, or gtfo. But draw a line in the sand 4 games into year 2 if you want.
I still think he is the guy, too much is going right in the program. The fucking Offense is the bulbous herp at the tip of the 12 incher. Get it cleaned up or DIAFF. -

Not that far of a difference in saying that Seven never took the UW program backwards. -

If he can't win with them at UW, who cares if he made them better players for the pros.
