Yes, this goes back specifically to 2011 and 2012 (Sarkisian's worst recruiting classes beyond the 2009 class).
2011:
-Dexter Charles (retired)
-RS-SR Tufunga: back-up entire career until RS-SR year and a JAG now.
2012:
-Taylor Hindy (the name says it all)
-RS-JR Shane Brostek (he redshirted last year but DDY accurately predicted he'd be passed up this season by RS-Frosh Sosebee and it happened pretty fast. Here is Brostek's recruit profile: https://rivals.yahoo.com/washington/football/recruiting/player-Shane-Brostek-128819)
-RS-JR Jake Eldrenkamp (can't tell if he was benched with true frosh Adams emerging at LT or if his ankle led to more shuffling with Shelton at LG now...probably the former. UW was his best offer followed by WSU / OSU).
-RS-JR Corey Fuvai (career 3rd / 4th stringer and may be asked to move on after 4 years of free school).
-Nathan Dean (the most "touted" of all 2012 recruits but quit after his redshirt year).
So out of 7 OL signed in the 2011 and 2012 classes, just 4 are on the roster and it looks like only 1 will be contribute much this year (Tufunga).
RS-Soph Coleman Shelton nice to have as a guy who can play LT, RT, and LG but RS-Soph Kirkland and RS-Soph Crane has gotten passed by RS-Frosh and True Frosh Strausser recruits.Tequilla said:

I have confidence with Strausser, but the reality is that we're starting 3 RS/True Frosh on the OL. That's not a strong testament of the talent that was inherited/remained after last year. -
