It's clear that coach Pete is changing lives base on player comments, but he is paid 3.5 million dollars a year to win football games. He is showing the ability to recruit but that won't show itself for another couple years if he is truly recruiting well.

His offense since being hired to coach mighty Washington has shown no willingness to acknowledge that his offense is totally broken.

His offense was a train wreck at Boise before leaving to head up mighty Warshington. The youth excuse is old & tired as it has been Mighty Warshington's company line for over a decade. Yes, the QB is young, yes the oline is young but Cal is not a good football team.

J Smith has proven over and over again that he just isn't the guy. The mass subbing, inexplicable individual subs and the willingness to rely on fly sweeps, pathetic bubble screens, and lindy's goal line package. He has no clue what he doing and looks as if he grasping for straws every Saturday.

Smith and Peterson can't put together an offense to beat a pathetic Cal defense. Ya, ya UW's defense played well but oh well they still lost.

Who cares if they were in position to win the game at end after what was a total dumpster fire of a offensive game. They can't finish.

UW will continue to duke it out with the basement dwellers AS a basement dweller until Pete chooses to address the turd of an offense. But there is no sign this will happen.

Grounds for firing. UW is a loser program, shouldn't be concerned with looking for another coach and worrying about cycling coaches.

Pete isn't the guy.

Pool boy needs to be fired today. Enough said on that.

Ya, ya it's all the same year after year. Should have just cut and pasted what everyone has been posting for a decade.

UW football unfortunately is a bigger downer that not getting a good night's sleep, a bigger downer than a night of drinking red hook, bigger downer than a handful of oxy downed with a handle of Bombay, a bigger downer than George Bush getting a second term, a bigger downer than Hillary being the next President. Basically, UW football ruins many lives and the light at the end of tunnel is dim.

Sorry Pete, I thought you were the hire we were hoping for but it's over. Move on.org

It's not Pete's fault his predecessors (and their apologists) trotted out "youth" as a recurring excuse. This team is undeniably young, and many of its problems relate directly to its youth.

If only there were a way to avoid being "young" every year.

This is kind of true, but the offensive philosophy sucks and there is way too much cutesy bullshit going on. Right now, we should be an 8-9 win team, but Petersen is holding it back with his offense. So when the players improve we will win 8-9 when we should be winning 11+.

A better offensive plan yesterday and these young players would have won the game. Sark left a mess but most of those loser players are gone or almost gone and the freshman and sophomores look pretty good but there's only so much they can do when they're not being put in position to succeed.

Fix the God dammed offensive scheme.

It's called continuity. Keep a coach who can develop players, while not running players off every year because he has new shiny toys.

It's hard to find anything to like in this scheme. But I do wonder what scheme would look good with a frosh QB and 3 frosh OL.

A running game would be fine with those players.

    Hope this helps.

Yeah, because Ty and Pete are exactly the same. I forgot they recruited the same talent, and had the same ability to develop it.

What's faggy are posters who want a new coach when we lose, while also want to anoint him when we win. Some of the posters here are more moody than a teenage girl on the rag. It's unbearable at times.

that's what hurts me most about yesterday, that we were the reason we lost because of our own stubbornness and stupidity, not from Cal beating us.

I'm not quite as down as some, but this is a perfectly good reason for being anti Petersen.
