    For us though getting back to the Pac-8 would be cool. Not the Arizona schools/Utah/Colorado would let it happen.

    The way to do it is have four 4-team pods.

    UW-UO-OSU-WSU
    USC-UCLA-UA-ASU
    SU-Cal-UT-Rice (academis pod)
    CU-UU-OSU-TCU

    Each pod is paired with one other pod to form an 8 team division. Rotate the pairings every year.

    Not getting Texas wasn't the fuckup. Taking Utah and Colorado before you had Texas was the fuckup.
    you think Texas would have given up the Longhorn Network? even though it's been a flop, that was $100M at the time

    I doubt it.

    I wouldn't have taken Utah and Colorado without Texas though.

    WTF'd for a pod that isn't the four California schools together.

    They made a pod of their own in the current Pac-12.
