RS Frosh LB Drew Lewis forced to sell his couch

Someone else is claiming Elijah Qualls is having troubles with his academis as well

That's too bad. I remember he was running with the 2nd team at LB, but he probably would've been 3rd team given that Feeney and Bierria were out with injuries.
Wonder who will be taking his spot on special teams this season. -

For those that thought Peterman would only take 14 this year.... And get Qualls some help. He looked good last year.
-
..."Qualls has a lot of quit in him."
per UW Assistant -
Will "Emptermann" Dissly must be kicking his ass around da field

If you can't make it to fall camp then GTFO pussy.

(I've always wanted to do that) -
St tosh day massacre still chugging along with zero impact for the $3M it cost. Free pub i guess

They need to get the essay writers out for Qualls ASAP. The kid is going to be good. Going back all the way to his recruitment, there was a tbs camp where he 1 on 1 dominated one of the top OL recruits in the Nation (forget who, he was 5* SEC bound). Then backed up the hype by producing when given the opportunity last season.
Can't let kids like this slip through the cracks over missing homework. -
Losing Qualls would be disastrous.

Does @ThomasFremont have any eligibility left?Doogles said:They need to get the essay writers out for Qualls ASAP. The kid is going to be good. I think @ApostleofGrief may have something left in the tank. In case you missed it, he was a walk-on at CWU for about 4 days. He rarely ever mentions it so its understandable if you didnt know.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

A Qualls exit (please Allah no!) would bring the remaining tally from the St. Tosh Day Massacre down to one:

If you ranked the roster 1-85 in order of how indispensable each player is to the 2015 Huskies where would Qualls be?
Considering our lack of depth at NT...I am thinking top 5 at least.
(Yes I know the season is already over regardless.) -
That would be an interesting list.FremontTroll said:If you ranked the roster 1-85 in order of how indispensable each player is to the 2015 Huskies where would Qualls be?

yikes, that could be the end of our switch to a base 3-4.

At the end of fall camp and before the Hawaii game, Gaines was actually ahead of Qualls as a true freshman. However, the coaches decided to redshirt him, thus moving Qualls into the backup role behind Shelton. Here's a link: http://blog.thenewstribune.com/uwsports/2014/08/30/huskies-gameday-box-and-two-deep-analysis/
Of course, you can look at the depth chart in the spring as a better indication of where the players stand now, but Gaines has really impressed the coaches and figures to contribute this year, even with Qualls at NT. -
Shit he might be #2 behind Budda.FremontTroll said:If you ranked the roster 1-85 in order of how indispensable each player is to the 2015 Huskies where would Qualls be?

When considering the rank on the team, I not only need to consider their quality and ability, but also the depth behind them. For example, if Qualls is gone, we have Gaines and Vea who are untested, but I feel okay about. However, if Sidney Jones goes down, who I feel is my #1, we are royally fucked at CB. If Dissly goes down, we lose our starting DE and backup BUCK.
If I'm bored enough this week, I might make a list of the 85 just so I can hate myself at the end of the season. -

1. We have heard from 1 person on this board that says there could be trouble with Qualls.
2. At CB, Jones, Hale, Gardenhire, McIntosh, Joyner......not overly concerned.
3. If Dissly goes down, Johnson & Bowman, same class, provide backup.
I know, the sky is falling. IF Qualls is out, and IF Jones goes down, and IF Dissly goes down.....get a grip. If my aunt had balls..... -
This post reminds me of a post I once read at dawgman. A poster lamented how we had no depth at DT after Shelton and Tokalahi. Another poster chimed in being dead serious and posted, "What do you mean we don't have depth? We have Potaoe, Banks, Laga, and Tupou. That looks like pretty good depth to me."HuskyInAZ said:1. The DL does have a lot of promising young guys and I don't think the situation is all that comparable, but we still don't know if the young guys are any good and/or ready. Qualls and Mathis were a big reason why many were optimistic about the DL.
And yeah, the doom and gloom, worst case scenarios are kind of ridiculous, but the depth at many positions is far from ideal. Petersen had mentioned it in a couple of his interviews about how the depth isn't where he wants it, and that it takes time. -
Here's what CollegeFootballNews thinks is our top 10 players (IMHO, Mickens is too high and Sidney Mutherfuckin Jones too low):

I thought UW would take 2 LBs in this class but if Lewis is gone, I'm thinking this guy takes his scholarship:

Who knows if Qualls would start in 2015 or not but I hope he is on the roster come fall because DL depth never hurts. -
If you can't pass classes at UW with ALL of the academis advisors you have at your fingertips you are stoopid.
Seriously, UW has the best or at worst one of the best academis support programs for athletes in the country. IDIOTS. UGH. -
-
The only two players Peterman has lost from his classes so far have been Sark commits as well. Funny.
-
Thus far the concern over Qualls is from a poster on Doogman? @HuskyJW are you the source on the assistant coach quote? Any context, i.e. recent quote, 6 months ago, 2 months ago? I'd like to exhale now.
-
They are idiots, but it's probably somewhat hard to live a shitty life and not give a single fuck about school up through high school and then have to turn it on. I'm sure you saw first hand at O'Dea how far behind some of these athletes are. At my high school, there were kids (the best athletes) who could barely read a Dr. Seuss book.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:If you can't pass classes at UW with ALL of the academis advisors you have at your fingertips you are stoopid.

The players should be able to pass, but not everyone is equal and these guys still have to take the tests, etc. I am a critical asshole about many things. Academis for an inner city kid isn't one of them. -
Thought for sure he was white.
