The DL does have a lot of promising young guys and I don't think the situation is all that comparable, but we still don't know if the young guys are any good and/or ready. Qualls and Mathis were a big reason why many were optimistic about the DL.
And yeah, the doom and gloom, worst case scenarios are kind of ridiculous, but the depth at many positions is far from ideal. Petersen had mentioned it in a couple of his interviews about how the depth isn't where he wants it, and that it takes time. -

Unless an inner city kid is just stupid, and many are, I blame the parenting more than anything. Too many of their parents don't value education, set rules, and apply discipline the way they should. And the cycle repeats, over and over again.RoadDawg55 said:
